Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
And, we’ve got plenty of food, merchandise, and construction updates to share with you, so let’s dive right on in!
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom Food Update
Now that Pumpkin Spice has taken over Disney World, Auntie Gravity’s is one of our favorite spots to get a sweet fix at Halloween time!
Auntie Gravity’s is known for its holiday flavors of ice cream that debut throughout the year. While we were over in Tomorrowland, though, we noticed that the Pumpkin Spice Milk Shake no longer featured the giant Mickey Marshmallow that’s usually featured! A Cast Member wasn’t sure if it would be coming back when we asked (but we’ll keep our fingers crossed)!
Close by to Auntie Gravity’s, The Lunching Pad opened again with Pepper Jack PRETZELS! (And, the crowd goes wild!!)
The quick-service location is operating with Mobile Order right now where guests can place their food and drink orders through My Disney Experience…
…along with health and safety measures like distancing markers and plexiglass barriers.
While The Lunching Pad is still serving eats like hot dogs and sandwiches, Frozen Coke has also returned…
…along with the Cream Cheese Pretzel and the Jalapeño Pepper Jack Stuffed Pretzel with that good ole plastic cheese to go along with it!
YUM.

As Halloween merchandise has popped into the parks, the Madame Leota Sipper has been one of the MOST popular items to snag this fall!
Although they previously sold out, they’re finally back in stock at the Sleepy Hollow Refreshments!
But, you might want to hurry because the Madame Leota Sipper could disappear again just as quickly as it materialized. ;D
Take a look at everything you need to know about the Madame Leota Sipper here!
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Update
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
It might only be October, but we’ve already started to pick up a few of our Christmas gifts ahead of time! As you think about all the ways you’re going to add a bit of extra Disney magic to your tree, you can feature the Muppets with the Muppet Vision 3D Ornament…
…with Bunsen and Beaker looking a little judgmental of all those Christmas cookies you’ll be eating for $24.99.
Forky is definitely not trash to us! So, we think it’s only fitting he’s featuring as an ornament this year for Christmas…
…with a nod to his original owner Bonnie for $21.99.
Flash would be the SLOWEST Santa Claus ever, but it’s a good thing his ornament is adorable for $22.99…
…along with the Baymax Ornament, who looks just as soft as a marshmallow for $22.99.
Plus, you can even pick up a new double-sided ornament with Peter Pan looking happy to listen to Christmas stories…
…and Tinker Bell sitting close by on the opposite side of the ornament (even though she’s got a bit of extra sass) for $29.99.
Although they might not be new, you can round out your ornament collection with the Lightning McQueen Ornament…
…and the Olaf Ornament at the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe too!
Liberty Square Parasol Cart
Since the weather is unpredictable in Florida, you can use one of the parasols from the Liberty Square Parasol Cart to either block out the sun or get out of the rain in the Magic Kingdom! And, we found the CUTEST Halloween version of the parasol for guests to pick up. The Halloween Parasol features treats and spooky decorations…
…like the Halloween Mickey Cupcake…
…and matching Mickey and Minnie vampire bats!
If you’re feeling extra spooky you can take home the Haunted Mansion Parasol…
…with Constance Hatchaway…
…and Madame Leota following you home (instead of the Hitchhiking Ghosts).
The Sanderson Sisters are our favorite Halloween trio! And, they’re looking super sinister on the Hocus Pocus Parasol…
…with Thackery Binx ready to put a spell on you whenever you use it!
Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar
After you’ve taken a boat ride on Pirates of the Caribbean, you can snag the Women’s Pirate Power Shirt over at the gift shop at the attraction’s exit…
…with lots of gold and jewelry that we’re sure Jack Sparrow would love for $36.99.
Uptown Jewelers
Our dogs have been the greatest cuddle buddies at home, but we are OBSESSED with the Disney Dogs Dooney and Bourke Bags in the park! And, it seems like everybody else is too since they’ve been disappearing off the shelves so quickly in Disney World.
Over at Uptown Jewelers, you can find the Disney Dogs Dooney and Bourke MagicBand…
…as well as the Crossbody (which is the only bag left at the moment)!
Magic Kingdom Construction Update
Right outside the Magic Kingdom, construction is still moving forward with the Resort Launch area for the boats to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
While the boats have been closed during the construction, we can’t wait to hop back on them after exploring the parks throughout the day!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Food Update
Captain Cook’s
If you’re craving a Halloween treat, Captain Cook’s has got you covered! The dining location at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is still serving up treats like the Moana Cupcake, Halloween Cupcake, and Mike Wazowski Dome Cake. But, we recommend trying all three!
Pineapple Lanai
If you’re STILL craving more sweets, Pineapple Lanai‘s Dole Whip flavors of the day were Lime and Pineapple while we were there, along with the Vanilla Soft-Serve.
Kona Cafe
The breakfast specials weren’t on the menu over at Kona Cafe. Buuut, the good news is that Biscuits and Gravy, which are made bacon, chive, cheddar, and sausage gravy…
…along with the AMAZING Pumpkin Pancakes are back on the menu, so you can have something a little sweet and a little savory during breakfast!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Construction Update
Currently, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is going through a BIG refurbishment to tie in different elements from Moana to the decorations. The resort started on its entryway construction recently…
…so the main entrance the Ceremonial House is completely blocked off.
Signs around the area have been put up to direct guests to the temporary side entrance located by the stairs behind the elevator.
Specific exits in the resort are also blocked off to redirect guests away from the construction that’s moving forward as well.
Although the Monorail closure has been delayed until November, the activity sign lists the times and availability of the transportation system leading from the resort to the parks.
Find out details about Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort refurbishment and closure here!
