Hey DFB friends! We’re back with another what’s new in Animal Kingdom!
On our visit we searched for the latest food and merchandise all over the park. We found returning favorites, some price increases, and noticed that our beloved Halloween treats are starting to be replaced. Follow along on our day in Animal Kingdom!
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
Harambe Fruit Market & Trek Snacks
To begin our food tour of Animal Kingdom, we stopped by two food kiosks. The first was Harambe Market, a kiosk known for selling fresh fruit, trail mix, and other snacks. This location also serves soft pretzels, however we noticed something different about these pretzels…
…they were Mickey-shaped! Mickey pretzels are all over Disney World but Harambe Market is known for selling Simba-shaped pretzels!
We aren’t exactly sure why Disney decided to switch shapes at this location, but we do miss Simba!
The second location we stopped at was Trek Snacks. We began noticing a trend at these Animal Kingdom kiosks…
…because this spot was ALSO selling Mickey pretzels instead of Simba pretzels.
We will keep and eye out for the Simba pretzels to return! In the meantime, you can grab a Mickey pretzel with cheese dip at these two locations for $6.79.
These specialty pretzels are BACK in Magic Kingdom
Yak & Yeti
Over at Yak & Yeti, we didn’t notice any new menu items, however we DID notice a slight price increase!
The kid’s menu, which includes an entree and two sides, has been increased by $1 to $10.79.
Although this is not a huge change, every penny counts! We will keep looking around for other price increases at Disney restaurants.
Check out another price increase in Disney World
Nomad Lounge
The Nomad Lounge is great place to hang out and take a break from the craziness of a theme park. It also has some unique snacks and drinks on the menu.
On our most recent visit, we noticed the Lobster Mac & Cheese from Tiffins had been added to the Nomad Lounge’s menu! We are big fans of this dish and are so glad to see it in another location in the park.
Note that this was on the secret menu, so ask your server about any unlisted menu items to order this delicious dish for $22.

Drinkwallah
We passed another drink and snack stand called Drinkwallah where we noticed a familiar sipper.
We found the Lion King Stacking Cup! We had seen this sipper before, but now it’s back! One side features Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa with the words Hakuna Matata.
The other side features a close up on Simba! Right now, Drinkwallah is selling these for only $7! Go grab one before they disappear again!
These fan-favorite sippers are back in Disney World!
Zuri’s Sweet Shop
Speaking of disappearing, we noticed some Halloween treats missing from Zuri’s Sweet Shop. This bakery has started to bring back some of its pre-Halloween treats like this Mickey cookie.
The whole case seemed as if Halloween was over! We aren’t sure why they weren’t offering many spooky treats, however this could change depending on when you go to the shop.
The cases were previously filled with Halloween rice krispies, cupcakes, marshmallow pops, and more.
Even though Disney has started releasing holiday merchandise, we are still looking forward to Halloween in the next few days! If we see Halloween treats pop back into Zuri’s, we’ll be sure to let you know!
These are some of our favorite Halloween treats of the season
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Discovery Trading Co.
In Discovery Trading Co., the holiday merchandise displays were out! This week Disney has released a TON of holiday merchandise online and in the parks.
This store is a great place to shop for holiday gear! They had everything we’ve seen online and in other parks as well.
Disney also recently released a Make-A-Wish merchandise line to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the companies working together. We had seen all of the merchandise from this collection except the masks…but now the masks are at Discovery Trading Co.!
The last new thing we spotted of the day was pretty amazing! We found the Disney Lego Train Station!
You can build the iconic station in your own home with this Lego set for $329.99. We’re pretty obsessed with it.
We love when Disney gives us the opportunity to bring some Disney magic home! We can’t wait to see what merchandise Disney releases next!
Save BIG on Disney Lego sets!
And that’s a wrap on our day in Animal Kingdom. We had a wonderful time visiting all of the shops and restaurants to update you all on the parks! We will be back soon, so stay tuned for our next adventure.
