Most of the new merchandise is themed to WEB Labs and the brand new Spider-Bots, but there is some general Avengers Campus merchandise as well. Avengers Campus merchandise was being kept behind the counter, so we were given a pricing sheet. Disneyland’s NEW Kitchen Accessories Will Make Your Home the Tastiest (and Cutest) Place on Earth!

We’ve been shopping all over Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort today, looking at the new Mobile Checkout system, snagging some AMAZING Avengers Campus merch, and, of course, admiring all of the beautiful holiday decorations!

Mobile Checkout

While we were at Disney Home, we also found some adorable new aprons, kitchen towels, and more to make your cooking more magical. Orange Bird, The Haunted Mansion, and even Mickey Premium Bars are featured on these fun items and we cannot get enough of them!

Let’s take a look at what we found! First, for our Castle and Carrousel fans, there was a pretty-in-pink v-neck apron with the Castle on top and a Carrousel horse on the bottom corner. Can you spot the hidden Mickey on the horse?

Castle and Carrousel Apron

The apron itself is priced at $34.99. But, you’ll need more than just an apron if you’ll really be cooking up a feast — that’s where this cute kitchen towel comes into play! It matches the Castle and Carrousel apron and will always remind you of “the happiest place on earth.”

Carrousel Towel

The towel is priced at $19.99.

Something else that always reminds us of the happiest place on earth is a Mickey Premium Bar! Well, that classic Disney snack can inspire your cooking with this cute new apron. We especially love the phrase on the side that says there’s “magic in every bite!”

Mickey Premium Bar Apron

This apron also has a matching kitchen towel available!

Magic in Every Bite!

The apron is priced at $34.99, and the towel can be yours for $19.99.

Every meal you cook while wearing this “Fiesta Hoy” Three Caballeros apron is sure to be muy delicioso!

Three Caballeros Apron

What’s even better is that you can pair this cute apron with its matching kitchen towel. We especially love that both the apron and towel have those fun little hanging pom-poms.

Kitchen Towel

The apron is $34.99 and the towel is $19.99.

Got a few tiki mugs in your home and try to pretend like your kitchen is Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto? Then we have a feeling you’ll love this Tiki Room Apron! It’s vibrant, colorful, and features all kinds of tikis, birds, and even a Dole Whip!

Tiki Room Apron

The apron can be yours for $34.99, and has a matching kitchen towel available for $19.99.

We also found this Haunted Mansion Kitchen Towel for $19.99

…and matching Oven Mitt for $14.99 available at Disney Home as well! We spotted this oven mitt just a few days ago in Disney World as well.

Oven Mitt

If you think everyone in your house has gone MAD, you’ve insisted that ALL ways are your ways, and you may or may not make your family curtsy when they speak to you, then we think you need to add this Tea Party Time kitchen towel for $19.99…

Tea Party Kitchen Towel

…and matching Oven Mitt for $14.99 to your kitchen! We’ve seen this oven mitt in Disney World as well.

Tea Party Oven Mitt

If you always think sunny thoughts and sunny words, then you’ll love this Orange Bird Apron, which says “squeeze me” at the bottom.

Orange Bird Apron

The apron didn’t have it’s own matching kitchen towel, but we did see some other cute accessories you could add to your kitchen like this “The Perfect Disney Recipe” towel for $19.99

Disney Recipe Towel

Mickey Waffle Pot Holder for $14.99 (which we’ve also seen in Disney World)…

Mickey Waffle Pot Holder

…and this cute Disney Parks oven mitt for $14.99. We actually found a Disney World version in EPCOT not too long ago as well.

There’s also a matching Kitchen Towel in the Disneyland Resort Map design which you can see in the photo below.

ALL the Kitchen Things!

Overall, we absolutely LOVE all of these cute new designs and think they’re a really fun way to add a little Disney magic in your everyday life. They can also make great stocking stuffers or gifts for the Disney fan in your life!

Whew! You Can Still Get This ICONIC Cupcake in Disney World!

We’re checking in on a DFB favorite today!

Mermaid Tail Cupcake

Last year, Disney introduced an absolutely iconic cupcake at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and we’ve been obsessed with it ever since. Hello there, Mermaid Tail Cupcake! Even with all the ups and downs of the year, we’re glad to say you can still get this treat!

We swung by Landscape of Flavors today to check in on any updates. Well, what we found isn’t really an update, but this treat is so good we just had to remind you that it’s here!

Mermaid Tail Cupcake

The Mermaid Tail Cupcake is a Vanilla Cupcake with a Pineapple Filling, topped with Coconut Buttercream (a huge hit with our team), a White Chocolate Mermaid TailCandy Pearls, and EDIBLE GLITTER with a topping that looks like sand.

Mermaid Tail Cupcake

When we snagged it today, the tail was laying down on the icing instead of stuck straight up which kinda looked like someone had pulled it right off of Ariel, but it’s still absolutely gorgeous.

Mermaid Tail Cupcake

You can find the Mermaid Tail Cupcake at Landscape of Flavors for $5.99 right now, and we hope it continues to stick around. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the BEST snack recommendations!

What’s New at Magic Kingdom: Thanksgiving Crowds, Expensive Pins, and Attraction Refurbs!

Hello friends! Today we’re headed to Magic Kingdom to check out what’s new!

Magic Kingdom train station

The past few days have been absolutely bonkers around Disney World with the Festival of the Holidays starting at EPCOT, Thanksgiving crowds, and more holiday offerings and entertainment returning! Things likely won’t slow down anytime soon as we progress into the holiday season, but we’re excited to see what Disney has in store. So, if you’re planning to visit Magic Kingdom soon, what can you expect to see? Let’s find out!

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates

Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

Over in Tomorrowland, we stopped by to visit our old friend, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover (AKA the PeopleMover). This attraction has been closed since the parks reopened, and we’ve been missing it dearly!

PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom

The refurbishment of the attraction is currently listed to extend into next year, so it doesn’t look like we’ll be able to enjoy a ride on the PeopleMover this holiday season!

PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom

Nothing looks any different here than it has the past few months, but we’ll make sure to keep our eyes peeled for any changes or updates.

Here’s the latest update to the PeopleMover refurbishment schedule!

Rivers of America

And speaking of refurbishments, the Rivers of America over in Liberty Square is still completely drained. Since the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island are both undergoing a lengthy refurb, it seems as though this area will remain dry for a little while longer.

Rivers of America

We’ll make sure to keep you updated on any more attraction refurbishment news as we come across it!

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates

Frontier Trading Post

Over at Frontier Trading Post in Frontierland, we spotted some anniversary pins, celebrating 20 years of pin trading!

Anniversary Pins

The set of three contains different versions of Mickey Mouse with Cinderella Castle. You can see him in black and white, gold, or the current castle colors! This set will cost you $99.99.

Anniversary Pins

The fourth pin was a VERY large Disneyland Diamond Pin! This pin by itself will set you back a whopping $109.99!

Anniversary Pins

These pins are pretty pricey, but we’re sure there are some collectors out there who will want to add them to their treasure trove!

Read more about the anniversary pins here!

Magic Kingdom Crowd Updates

Things were pretty crowded at Magic Kingdom, which is typical of a visit so close to a major holiday!

Crowds leaving the boat dock

When characters appeared on the train station, we spotted large groups of people gathering around — it got pretty difficult to keep our distance from others.

Crowds on Main Street USA

Sometimes we can escape to other parts of the park and find less crowded areas, but there seemed to be big groups in just about every corner of the park this time around!

Magic Kingdom crowds

If you’re planning on visiting during the holiday season (especially on holiday weeks and weekends), prepare yourself for things to be a bit more crowded.

Magic Kingdom crowds

With the parks at 35% capacity, it’s still possible to keep physically distant if you remain aware of your surroundings.

Click here to check out the Thanksgiving crowds!

Well, that’s all we have for our trip to Magic Kingdom! Now that the holidays are just around the corner, there are likely to be more exciting additions around the parks, so make sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates!

Florida Governor Comments On Mask Mandates, Fines, Lockdowns, and More in the State

Coronavirus has caused a multitude of changes throughout the world and continues to do so. Recently, Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland were both forced to close due to rising coronavirus cases in their areas.

EPCOT

We’ve been constantly watching for further updates from California’s governor for regulations that may impact Disneyland Resort, and we’ve also been keeping an eye out for updates from Florida’s Governor DeSantis on any regulations that may impact Disney World. Today, Governor DeSantis held a press conference and we got a better idea of the state’s direction in terms of coronavirus restrictions and more as COVID-19 numbers increase across the nation.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Governor DeSantis held a press conference today, his first in weeks, discussing COVID-19 and future restrictions in Florida. During the conference, DeSantis noted that there would be “no lockdowns, no fines, no school closures. No one’s losing their job because of a government dictate. Nobody’s losing their livelihood or their business. That is totally off the table.”

©Fox10 News

DeSantis has previously waived all outstanding fines for face-covering orders and prevented local governments from imposing mask mandates. During today’s conference, DeSantis said he is “opposed to mandates” and doesn’t think they work.

Note that this does not change anything at Disney World. Masks are and continue to be required to be worn at all times (including when taking photos) in Disney World unless stationary and actively eating or drinking. Guests who do not properly wear their masks at Disney World will be asked to leave.

Face Mask signage

In terms of the future of coronavirus precautions in light of the positive vaccine news, DeSantis noted that some say social distancing should continue until 2022 even with the vaccine, but he said that is “totally overboard.” He did note, however, that people should be aware that some of the proposed vaccines will require a booster shot and so that’s just something to keep in mind.

Social Distancing Sign

During the conference, DeSantis’ main focus was on schools. He indicated that schools will remain open for in-person instruction, but Florida will continue to offer virtual choices for parents who prefer that.

©Disney

DeSantis also discussed theme parks and gave them praise for the way in which they’ve handled the pandemic. According to USA Today, DeSantis noted, “Everyone now acknowledges that theme parks have not led to any type of major outbreaks.”

DeSantis said that Disney World, SeaWorld, and Universal have all “done very well” in their efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19. Earlier this year, an official from Florida’s Department of Health did note that no coronavirus cases had been linked at that time to Orlando theme parks.

Disney World’s Health and Safety Signs

DeSantis also talked about how Florida’s regulations differ from the more restrictive rules in California.

Click here to read about the theme park reopening guidelines issued by the state of California.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, positive coronavirus cases in Florida have been trending higher, “with 54,246 new cases and 509 newly reported deaths Sunday to Sunday in state health department data.” Florida also reported “7,363 new positive cases of COVID-19 and 58 more resident deaths on Sunday, with total cases closing in on 1 million and the death toll nearing 19,000.”

Health and Safety Signage

With the closures of other Disney Parks around the world and the continued closure of Disneyland Resort in California, we are keeping an eye out for coronavirus news as it may impact your future Disney vacation and the Disney parks in general. We’ll continue to keep you updated as we learn more.

Low Crowds in All Four Parks – Walt Disney World Wait Times for Monday, November 30, 2020

Crowds were moderate to very low across Walt Disney World today, with no park registering posted wait times in the top half of the past month.  In fact, wait times at the Animal Kingdom were second lowest overall for the past month. This serves as a good reminder that if you want to visit during a slow period, do so immediately after a busy period.

We received 146 actual wait times today in the parks – thank you, Liners!  We counted 496 of 500 people (99%) wearing masks according to Disney’s guidelines at the Animal Kingdom. Let’s do the rest of the numbers!

Magic Kingdom Wait Times

Wait times at the Magic Kingdom today didn’t reach the top half of the past month, with an average wait of 28 minutes across all the park’s attractions.  Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the highest average wait time today: 58 minutes. Its 7-day average is 79 minutes, so today ranks #6 for this week. Its 30-day average is 64 minutes, so today ranks #20 for the past month. Its 365-day average is 79 minutes, so today ranks #149 for the past year. We received 4 actual wait times today, and the actual wait averaged 80% of the posted wait time.

Hollywood Studios Wait Times

I think of all the numbers coming out of Hollywood Studios today, a 21-minute average posted wait at Muppet*Vision 3D is the most interesting.

Hollywood Studios wait times for Monday, November 30, 2020

Rise of the Resistance had a rough morning. It looks like Rise didn’t get started calling boarding groups until 10:45 a.m.. and ran for a little more than an hour before stopping.  That second delay calling boarding groups at Rise of the Resistance lasted until 11:45 a.m.  At this point, Rise is running well behind its 7-day average, and it’ll struggle to get to 100 boarding groups today.

It looks like there were problems with EPCOT’s posted wait times in the morning today.  The average posted wait at noon was 35 minutes, about double what it was over any hour for the rest of the day.  So those posted wait times seem mildly unbelievable.
