We’re getting there! A Disneyland Resort Hotel will officially be reopening to Guests. Sort of.
Today, Disney has shared news that Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will once again welcoming select Guests beginning on December 6. As I mentioned, not all Guests can stay at the resort – only those who are Disney Vacation Club Members. The remainder of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will remain closed.
This will be a gradual, phased reopening that keeps in mind the guidance of government and local health authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in addition to the U.S. Travel Association and the Disney team of health professionals. Promoting health and safety for Guests and Cast Members is a top priority for the hotel.
Keep in mind that the other Disney hotels at the Disneyland Resort, the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and the rest of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will remain closed and will reopen at a later date. Also, of note is that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will remain closed and will reopen at a later date, pending state and local government approvals. Downtown Disney District is, however, now open, and Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure will be open for shopping and dining beginning November 19.
