It’s beginning to look, feel, and TASTE like Christmas at Disney World!
Once those Mickey Christmas wreaths go up in Magic Kingdom you know November has arrived. That’s Disney’s cue to set out new holiday treats in the theme parks and resorts. We’ve eaten so much gingerbread in the last few days, but we’re ready for more! We found THREE more Christmas cookies at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and we want to share them ALL with you. Come check out what we found!
The Contempo Cafe is hosting a bounty of Christmas goodies this year! (Last year, some of the same sweets were served from the Gingerbread Snack Stand.) The bakers conveniently set out the display of treats outside the cafe for us to peruse! It’s so hard to window shop when the treats look this good.
There are three cookies at the Contempo that Santa would LOVE to find waiting for him by the chimney! The first is a classic gingerbread man similar to the cookie we found earlier this week. Only, this guy is HEFTY. You get a lot of gingerbread is this one cookie! He also looks VERY excited to start the holiday season! This cutie is $6.25.
The next is the Mickey Linzer Cookie that’s dusted with powdered sugar. It’s a sweet, crunchy sugar cookie filled with raspberry jam. We’re big fans of a traditional holiday cookie like this one! The Linzer cookie is $6.50.
The last cookie from Contempo is the monstrous Chocolate Peppermint Cookie! It’s a big, chewy chocolate cookie topped with chocolate then dusted with broken bits of peppermint. Another Christmas classic that many chocolate fans would love! The peppermint cookie is $5.50.
Do you like to work hard for your food? You can also pick up a build-your-own gingerbread house kit! The kit comes with all the house pieces and decorations you need to build your cookie estate. This set costs $35 and comes wrapped in a Contemporary Resort bow!
We’re JUST getting started with the holiday treats! Stay tuned with us all week long as Disney World ramps up for the holidays. November 6th is when most of the Christmas specialties will be out and you can bet we’ll be around to review them!
