We’ve tried soooo many holiday snacks around Disney World today!
We’ve found a ton of sweet treats and desserts to make our holidays merry and bright. But now, we’re ready to SPICE THINGS UP!
We’re heading into Magic Kingdom for this holiday menu item — more specifically, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe!
Cosmic Ray’s has added a menu item which is intriguingly named “Spice Up Your Holiday.” So, what is this spicy holiday exclusive? We’re glad you asked! It’s a spicy chicken sandwich with sriracha aïoli and pickle slaw topped with a Santa Mickey brioche bun and it comes served with fries on the side!
Can we first please just address how cute that Santa Mickey brioche bun is??
Okay, now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s dig in! We absolutely LOVED the pickle slaw, and we think it would be a hit even for those who aren’t big fans of pickles! But if you are totally pickle-averse you can request it without the slaw.
The chicken was nice and crispy and it did have an actual kick of spice, which can be hard to find in Disney food! So, if you’re really not into spicy food, this sandwich might not be for you!
The flavor reminded us of a spicy chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A, and we were super impressed with the sandwich overall. Although we do wish that the chicken breast was a bit larger since it didn’t quite reach the edge of the bun and we’d take all the delicious spicy chicken we can get!
We’re also a big fan of the fries at Cosmic Ray’s — they have some extra seasoning that set them apart from other “standard” quick service fries around Disney World!
Overall, we’d say this holiday exclusive is a winner in our books! If you’d like to “Spice Up Your Holiday,” you can snag this meal for $11.99 at Cosmic Ray’s. May your holidays be merry and…spice!
Review! This Belle-inspired holiday treat is super Insta-worthy (and delish)!
