It’s a great day to be at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

We’re coming to you from Rosie’s All-American Café on Sunset Boulevard, where they’re serving up some new-to-Rosie’s BREAKFAST items. We say “new-to-Rosie’s,” because — as we mentioned when we noticed these newly listed items on Mobile Order this morning — we realized they looked quite familiar…

You see, ABC Commissary served up breakfast for a brief spell earlier this spring. But, since the location reopened, breakfast has not been served.

In speaking to a cast member at Rosie’s, they shared that it was understood that Hollywood Studios needed some breakfast options (especially since the park now opens as early as 9AM on some days). So they’re serving these items at Rosie’s All-American Cafe as part of a testing phase, and they plan to see how it goes.

And we can tell you how at least one thing is going, for sure, as we share with you our order of the Mexican Corn Chilaquiles and Eggs.

In short, things are going great with this dish, which is comprised of scrambled eggs and cilantro cream with fresh corn, black beans, caramelized onions, Poblano peppers, and chorizo with Ranchero sauce, house-fried tortillas, pico de gallo, avocado, and queso fresco.

The eggs are nice and fluffy — very fresh! All of the ingredients combine to pack a flavorful punch, and the portion is great for the price. ($9.49)

It’s quite filling, but in a good way with tons of chorizo. The chorizo, however, might deliver our only critique. Though flavorful, it was not spicy; we couldn’t pick up any heat.

Overall, though, we REALLY enjoyed this dish, and are hoping breakfast at Rosie’s sticks around as it is both very tasty and much needed. Remember, Rosie’s is also currently serving up the Smashed Avocado Toast and Egg and Fried Chicken and Cinnamon-Sugar French Doughnut. And the Cocina Breakfast is a plant-based option for the Chilaquiles dish, made with plant-based “eggs.”

So, as you can see, so far it’s been a great start to our day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And it’s only just beginning, so stay tuned!
