It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but one of the most DELICIOUS times too!
We’ve been eating our way through ALL of the booths at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays and today we’re reviewing a NEW one! In the mood for some Kālua Pork? How about Lomi Lomi Salmon or Coconut Pudding? This NEW booth is a tropical dream!
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii’s way to say Merry Christmas to you…and it’s the name of a BRAND new booth that has joined the International Festival of the Holidays this year! Let’s see what this booth has in terms of its menu.
Menu
The menu includes Kālua Pork with Okinawa Purple Sweet Potatoes and Mango Salad, Lomi Lomi Salmon with Tomatoes, Onions, Salmon Roe, Yuzu Mayonnaise, and Yucca Chips, and Haupia: Hawaiian Coconut Pudding with Candied Macadamia Nuts and Coconut.
We’ve had Kālua Pork in the form of a slider at many EPCOT festivals (it’s even made our Best of the Fest list quite a few times) — could this new Kalua Pork snack beat it in terms of flavor? There’s only one way to find out!
But, before we get to eating, let’s talk about the drinks here. There are a few alcoholic drinks available at this booth including the NEW Melon Breeze with Spiced Rum, Kona Brewing Co. Big Wave Golden Ale, Kailua-Kona, HI (which has been served at EPCOT festivals for a while); and Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Pineapple Wine, St. Petersburg, FL, another returning beverage from other EPCOT festivals which is quite refreshing on a hot Florida day!

Alright alright, enough talking…let’s say aloha to some of these delicious-sounding treats!
Food
We started our culinary adventure with the Kalua Pork which is served with Okinawa purple sweet potatoes and mango salad for $5.25. This pork is simply AMAZING, although we wanted more mango salad on the plate. The meat was tender It’s also a very colorful dish!
Next up was the Lomi Lomi Salmon for $6. This is served with tomatoes, onions, salmon roe, Yuzu mayonnaise, and Yucca chips. We thought this was delicious, but felt like the portion size was a little small — yes, most portion sizes are small at the Festival, but this one still felt TOO small for the price. The chips were great, though — very crispy!
We finished with dessert, as one does. The Haupia which is a Hawaiian coconut pudding with candied Macadamia nuts and coconut for $4.25 was a nice light cake. But it’s something that only macadamia and coconut lovers are really going to like. However, we loved it! It’s nice to have a dessert that isn’t a cookie.
Drinks
In terms of beverages, we got the Melon Breeze with Spiced Rum for $14. It’s a sweet drink, and if that’s not your thing, you might want to skip it. But we thought it was REALLY good with a strong melon flavor. We also love that it comes with a reusable straw!
Then there’s the Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Pineapple Wine for $12. The very name of this wine just sounds so refreshing, right?
We’ve still got lots of delicious sounding items to try all over EPCOT, so stay tuned for all the latest reviews and photos!
