Review! This Tropical Drink Just Got FESTIVE at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has served up some iconic drinks over the years, including the Lapu Lapu from Tambu Lounge, and of course the wide array of legendary libations at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto.

Over at Barefoot Pool Bar, however, we think we just discovered another drink to enter the Polynesian Hall of Fame, and it even came with a fun holiday twist!

You may have heard that Monkey Nut, aka Coconut Man, aka the most adorable AND functional coconut we’ve ever seen, has returned!

Moku Niu

If you want to put Monkey Nut to task and have him hold your beverage for you, the Moku Niu is essentially tropical drink heaven. It’s a mixture of Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum, Bols Blue Curaçao, Cream of Coconut, and Pineapple Juice. The coconut and pineapple flavors both really stood out to us, so if you’re big into tropical flavors, this drink will hit the jackpot.

The drink comes served in a regular plastic cup, but the real magic happens when you learn that the cup fits perfectly into the souvenir coconut! The good news is that this drink automatically comes with a l’il side of Coconut Man! However, if you prefer something else on the menu at Barefoot Pool Bar, you can order that instead!

Just look at this cutie! He’s so happy to hold your drink for you! The engraving at the bottom of the coconut even reminds you to “have fun.” How nice of him!

But that’s not all! Since this is, after all, the start of the holiday season at Disney World, we came across the perfect garnish to any drink this time of year: a Mickey Mouse Jingle Bell glow cube!

We of course added the cube to our drink, and just like that, our tropical beverage became an instant holiday season must-have.

You can find the Moku Niu at Barefoot Pool Bar at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for $21.00, coconut included. Looking to add the Mickey Mouse Jingle Bell Cube? It’ll cost an additional $4.69. If you only fancy yourself Monkey Nut, it’ll cost $10 on its own without the beverage.
