Review! We Tried Two Super FESTIVE Desserts at Disney’s Riviera Resort!

We’ve been trying ALL the Disney holiday snacks and desserts this week!

Maple Buche de Noel

But because we love food, we obviously didn’t stop there. We stopped by Disney’s Riviera Resort today to check out what holiday snacks they had to offer!

Disney’s Riviera Resort has been ready for the holidays with their decorations, and now their desserts match! This Mediterranean-themed resort is home to Le Petit Café, a small cafe that offers coffees, pastries, and more. We noticed some holiday treats have made their way into the bakery case, so we had to try!

We decided to try their seasonal cupcake and a dessert that we’ve unofficially named the Christmas Cracker. The café didn’t have a name for this item and it reminded us of the festive Christmas decorations that have little gifts inside them. Similarly, this dessert has a surprise filling inside  — that works for us!

Christmas Cracker

This dessert is a pistachio tart with a brownie and cherry reduction filling. It’s bright red, decorated with chocolate ties on its sides and a chocolate medal on top! The medal is stamped with “RR” for the Riviera Resort.

We were pleasantly surprised by it and thought it was pretty good! The filling inside was light and airy, almost like a mousse. The cherries were very sweet and the brownie added a nice, extra flavor! The tart on the bottom reminded us of a graham cracker. Be careful eating this under the Florida sun though, because it melts pretty fast!

Christmas Cracker

We thought this dessert was just the right amount of sweetness and would be great for those with a sweet tooth! If you don’t like pistachios or cherries, steer clear. This dessert costs $5.99.

We’ve had our fair share of holiday cupcakes this year, but we decided to try another! This seasonal cupcake was a pretty standard vanilla cupcake with chocolate filling, buttercream frosting, and mini M&Ms! It’s decorated like a cute, little Christmas tree! Last year’s seasonal cupcake had a similar design with the frosting, but this year it is super festive for the holidays!

Seasonal cupcake

We thought the chocolate filling in this cupcake was light and sweet. The filling was inside the icing, rather than the cupcake itself.

Seasonal cupcake

We didn’t really think there was anything special about this vanilla cupcake. However, because it wasn’t over the top in sweetness or bold flavors, we think it would be great for kids!

This cupcake cost $5.99. We’re excited to see what new holiday desserts this season will hold! Follow along with us for more Disney food (of course) and reviews!
