One of our favorite parts of the holiday season has to be all of the seasonal treats that make their way to Disney World!
‘Tis the season for SNACKS! Guests will find several holiday menu items in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, like Mickey’s Holiday Cookie and Olaf’s Snow Flurry Cupcake. But as excited as we are to eat our way around the park, we’ll be sippin’ on this holiday treat!
If you’re on the hunt for a sweet seasonal beverage, the Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate might be right up your alley! This drink is available at several places around Disney’s Hollywood Studios, including PizzeRizzo, Backlot Express, ABC Commissary, and Rosie’s All–American Café. It certainly looks festive!
This concoction consists of frozen salted caramel hot chocolate topped with marshmallows, green sugar, and a chocolate drizzle served with a souvenir Mickey Jingle Bell Glow cube! It’s actually really good and tastes just like a hot chocolate, but frozen (which is perfect because it’s still warm in Florida!). Since this is a salted caramel drink, we did expect to taste a bit more salt. Sadly, we didn’t!
We did think that its price, $9.49, was a little steep for a drink that didn’t have any alcohol in it. But the Mickey Jingle Bell glow cube is cool — it’s got a little bell in it, so it jingles!
But wait! Because there’s a boozy version, too! And we’re happy to report that the Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate with Kahlua is SO MUCH BETTER. Technically, it tastes EXACTLY like the non-boozy version, except that we got more hints of the salted caramel flavor in this drink. It also looks the same (it’s the one on the far right):
We also felt like it was more worth the hefty $17 price with the addition of the Kahlua. If we had to choose, we’d go for the boozy version over the regular every time.
If you’d like to give the Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate a try, it’s available from November 6th through January 4th in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Here’s hoping your holidays are merry and bright, DFB friends!
