On Tuesday, November 3rd, Disney’s dining reservation and experience booking system experienced an unanticipated technical issue for a brief period of time.
Apparently, while the IT department worked to resolve the problem, the system inadvertently displayed availability at locations that actually were not available and were fully booked already.
Due to the limiting of attendance and physical distancing guidelines, any new reservations that were booked during that short time period on November 3rd will automatically be cancelled.
Disney has now acknowledged the error and has issued an apology to guests who were affected. Additionally, Disney has stated that they’ll be sending a $25 digital Disney Gift Card from Disney Gift Card Services for each cancelled reservation which guests may use during their next visit.
