This Disney World “Holiday” Drink Is the Epitome of 2020 😂

Is it still spooky season? Are we just skipping Thanksgiving this year? Is Christmas starting right now? It’s 2020, so basically anything goes at this point.

Bakery Case

If you thought this bakery case was confused as to what holiday it is, just wait until you see the “holiday” drink we found in Disney World. It’s a “holiday” drink for sure, the problem is it just can’t decide which holiday it’s celebrating!

We were making our way around Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as one does, and stopped by Flame Tree Barbecue to see if any new holiday items have become available. We’ve tasted gingerbread cookies, holiday rice krispies, and other festive treats around Disney World already so we thought, “surely, this spot will have something festive for us to try as well!” And we were right…but it was not at ALL what we expected.

Remember that Rotten Apple drink we had at this spot during the Halloween season? Apple cider and cinnamon whiskey mixed with gummy worms and a poisoned apple glow cube, that totally equals spooky season right?

Rotten Apple

So, when we spotted the Rotten Apple drink on the menu today we thought, “oh, it’s just a leftover Halloween surprise!” But oh no, no, no. This is not a Halloween drink anymore…now it’s the “Rotten Apple with Holiday Mickey Mouse Glow Cube” drink.

Okay, maybe apple and cinnamon flavors can work for the holiday season, we can buy that — but, when we got our actual drink we just had to smile. GUMMY WORMS?! Gummy worms AND a HOLIDAY glow cube? Oh, 2020, you really are just too much.

“Holiday” Drink

This drink, much like Olaf in his new animated short, is experiencing a MAJOR identity crisis and we are HERE for it.

“Holiday” Drink

Don’t get us wrong, it was just as tasty as it was during Halloween, but now you’ve got to drink it while singing “Jingle Bells” in your head instead of “This is Halloween!”

What Holiday Are We Celebrating Again?

So, if you’re looking to celebrate two holidays at once (half the Zoom calls, am I right?) you can check out this drink in Animal Kingdom right now. We’ll definitely keep stopping by this restaurant in the future to see if a new holiday drink appears, and we’ll let you know as soon as we spot anything new!
