From cupcakes to cocktails, we’ve had our fair share of seasonal treats around Disney World this fall. But when we heard La Cava del Tequila was serving up a limited-time margarita in celebration of Día de los Muertos, we knew we could make room for another!
Located inside EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion, La Cava del Tequila is one of our favorite spots in all of Disney World to stop for a drink — and maybe a snack as well!

This cozy bar is known for its INCREDIBLE and unique margaritas, like the Horchata Margarita and the Avocado Margarita, among many others!

They also offer limited edition cocktails on occasion, which is what brings us in today! In celebration of Día de los Muertos, they’re serving up a Dia de Muertos Margarita made with Ilegal Mezcal, Tequila Tromba, Pineapple and Lime Juices, Agave Nectar, Activated Charcoal, and Marigold Flowers.

Although the drink tasted really good (more on that in a second), the BEST part by far was the smoke bubble! Once the drink is mixed, the bartenders place a special smoke bubble on top.

We asked the bartenders to pop it for us, but normally this would then be slid over to you to pop on your own. If you order it, you’ll want to have your camera ready to go (maybe even turn on slow-motion capture speed) because this thing is EPIC!

The smoky effect you get afterwards is simply spooktacular! Perfect for the Day of the Dead!

In terms of the taste of the drink, it was really good! It was honestly a bit sweeter than we expected, but not to the level of being sickly sweet.

While we could taste the Mezcal, we wished there would have been a bit more to get a stronger flavor from it. Overall, it’s not our favorite drink from La Cava, but it was still delicious!
