Disney World officially kicks off the 2020 holiday season today — November 6th — and we have been looking forward to it since Disney’s reopening!
We’ve already started getting into the holiday spirit with new merchandise and eats, but now the Magic Kingdom Character Cavalcades have gotten a holly jolly makeover! Trust us when you say you will WANT to see these!
The “Once Upon a Christmastime” song is back and we are basically in TEARS! Let’s take a look at ALL of the Disney characters we saw dressed in their holiday best in the cavalcades today! We first caught sight of the cavalcades over in Frontierland.
Dapper Dans
We started our morning with a stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. to grab some holiday coffee and got to see the Dapper Dans singing some holiday tunes!

Is there any better way to start a morning in Magic Kingdom? We don’t think so!
Mickey and Friends
Later, we caught Mickey and a TON of his friends dressed in their very best holiday outfits making their way around the park. We spotted them first in Frontierland and later on Main Street, U.S.A. again.

During this cavalcade, we got to say “Happy Holidays” to Mary Poppins and Bert…
…Tigger…
…Winnie the Pooh…
…Donald and Daisy Duck…
…Wendy and Peter Pan…
…Alice and the Mad Hatter…
…and Pinocchio and Geppetto!
We love all of their holiday scarves!
But, we have to admit, the characters we were MOST excited to see were Mickey and Minnie!
Both of them were decked out in some incredibly adorable outfits! It brought a GIANT smile to our face to see this pair in Magic Kingdom, ready to celebrate the holidays.
Goofy, Clarabelle, and More!
But, wait, there’s more!
Next up, we saw a “candy” cavalcade with some Gingerbread People, a few elves, and…
…Goofy and MAX!
Yes, that is Max right up front driving his candy car. Sweet ride, Max!
And not too far behind him is the one and only Goofy standing in front of a GIANT gingerbread house that looks good enough to eat.
But, we wouldn’t want to fill up on gingerbread, as we’ve got cookies from Clarabelle Cow coming soon!
We were SO incredibly excited to see Clarabelle on her float!
Is it just us, are you getting sort of hungry too just from looking at all of these cavalcade floats?
Toy Soldiers and Philharmonic
Next up, we spotted some VERY familiar faces — the Toy Soldiers, followed by the Main Street Philharmonic!

The Toy Soldier’s outfits were looking as bright and shiny as ever.
And we loved saying hello to those fantastic musicians that form the Philharmonic!
Reindeer and SANTA!
Ladies and gentlemen, Santa Claus has officially joined the holiday celebrations in Disney World and we could not be happier!!

Before we get to the big guy himself, let’s take a look at who else we saw. A few elves may have tipped us off that Santa Claus was on his way (although his big sleigh is pretty hard to miss)!
Right in front of Santa’s sleigh we spotted our very favorite reindeer friends!
And then the moment arrived…SANTA made his way right down Main Street!
We honestly couldn’t even think of anything to ask him for because seeing Santa and all of our other Disney friends dressed for the holidays with that fabulous Christmas parade music playing is MORE than what we could have ever wished for!
Piglet, Eeyore, and Rabbit!
We also found Rabbit, Eeyore, and Piglet in some festive gear, riding around on the trolley down Main Street, U.S.A.

Just look at Piglet’s adorable scarf…
…beat out only by Eeyore’s cute look and adorable poses.
LOVE!
We love seeing our favorite Disney characters all dressed up for the season! Although we still miss formal parades and fireworks, these cavalcades were pretty extensive in terms of the number of characters and floats included, and they brought back some of our most favorite parts of previous years’ holiday parades (especially that awesome music). If we spot any more characters around the parks or other fun, holiday entertainment, we’ll definitely let you know about it!
