What’s New at Magic Kingdom and Monorail Resorts: Huge Crowds and a Late Cupcake!

Hello, DFB friends!

Main Street

We spent a day at Magic Kingdom and then popped over to the nearby Monorail Resorts to see what’s new. The list is short, but there are SOME updates, so let’s get going!

Magic Kingdom Attraction Updates

Pirates of the Caribbean

The Pirates of the Caribbean sign — which is a flag — is getting a makeover, but in the meantime, there’s a black flag in its place. So far, the black flag remains.

We’re keeping an eye on it, so we’ll let you know when it changes!

Magic Kingdom Crowd Update

As we previously reported, Disney World reached capacity. Certain areas of Magic Kingdom do tend to bottleneck with crowds, but guests and Cast Members are still doing what they can to maintain social distancing.

Ride lines have also been longer than usual.

Capt. Cook’s

We found a Thanksgiving Turkey Cupcake at Capt. Cook’s the day AFTER Thanksgiving. It’s a chocolate cupcake, piled high with frosting, and stuffed with a chocolate mousse filling, marshmallows, and chocolate chips.

It’s a VERY dense cake, but we really liked it!

That’s all for the updates today, but we’ll be back soon to let you know what’s new! Stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news.
