Sometimes when you’re on vacation you want to enjoy an adult beverage at a Disney theme park. If you’re on a mission going from ride to ride, you may be looking for a place to grab a quick adult drink without having to sit down at a lounge or restaurant. Here’s where you can grab a quick drink at Animal Kingdom. Just keep in mind, eating and drinking cannot be done while walking around; you need to be stationary as a COVID-19 precaution.
The first bar that comes to mind when thinking of quick drinks at Animal Kingdom is Dawa Bar in Harambe, the park’s Africa-themed land. Here you can walk up and order draft beer, wine, and a selection of cocktails. There is a good amount of shaded seating in the immediate area, especially since Tusker House Restaurant is not currently operating.
Over in the Asia section, is a brilliantly built bar known as Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks. What makes this little bar brilliant is that it is built from the structure where the old Fastpass machines would distribute paper Fastpasses for Expedition Everest. Here you can order refreshing, fruity cocktails, draft beer, wine, and light snacks. There is no dedicated seating area, but you can enjoy the unused Rivers of Light amphitheater which has plenty of seating and waterside views.
Off-world at Pandora – World of Avatar you’ll find a refreshment outpost, Pongu Pongu. Here you can order beer for breakfast if you so desire. There are specialty craft beers exclusive to Pandora as well as two frozen adult beverages.
You can also mobile order from any of the available quick service restaurants at Animal Kingdom. Each serves beer at minimum, but some have wine and simple cocktails too.
My absolute favorite bar in any Disney theme park is Nomad Lounge. You can order drinks to go here, but I wouldn’t consider this location very quick – and that’s a good thing. Each cocktail is handcrafted and there can be a wait just to get into the lounge and even order to-go due to limited capacity. But if quality matters over quickness, this is my must-do Disney lounge.
