Would you be surprised if we told you there’s construction in EPCOT? Probably not.

EPCOT is certainly Disney World’s work-in-progress park, but hey, the EPCOT Transformation is in full swing! We’ve seen permits for new foundations and Innoventions East construction in Future World — and now we have another peek at the work going on!
This morning, Walt Disney Imagineering filed a permit with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company (a firm doing a LOT of the lifting on the EPCOT Transformation) for “Project G: 202-1.”

Project G has so far referred to Project Gamma, being the assumed code name for the work on the EPCOT Transformation. The address on this permit is for the address coded to Innoventions East, so the permit likely has to do with updates for World Celebration.

Otherwise, the permit doesn’t give us TOO much information on what kind of work they’re doing. The number in the description could mean the permit is for a whole new phase of work detailed in internal documents.
