Although Universal Orlando is not having a holiday parade this year, park guests can get up close to parade balloons and floats in a way few people have ever experienced.
Seven jumbo balloons and five floats normally featured in Universal Orlando’s Holiday Parade are available to see at this year’s Holiday Experience Featuring Macy’s Balloons. Like so many other businesses, Universal Orlando pivoted and adjusted, finding less-risky ways for guests to experience the fantastic offerings they’ve come to expect.
Universal’s Holiday Experience Featuring Macy’s Balloons takes place inside a soundstage in the park’s New York Area. It is a walk-through experience with physically distancing practices enforced. Reservations are not required, but if demand is high enough a virtual queue via Universal Orlando’s app can be instituted to help ensure distancing is maintained.
The photos opportunities are unlike any other. Selfies with the massive balloons and spectacular floats are encouraged. Be sure to take in all the incredible details on the parade floats. A few beloved Universal characters from Minions, Shrek, and Madagascar can be found along the way, culminating in a socially distant meet and greet with Santa himself.
This year is certainly a unique one, and with it come experiences in the theme parks that would not otherwise be offered. Be sure to have Universal’s Holiday Experience Featuring Macy’s Balloons on your to-do list this holiday season at Universal Orlando. It is a hit with nearly everyone who has experienced it.
Have you been to Universal Orlando during the holidays? Have you ever seen any of Universal’s holiday floats or balloons?
