Are you headed to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth this week?
If you answered yes, you’re probably getting ready to pack! But before you do, you’ll want to hear about the weather Orlando will be experiencing this coming week. Florida is known for being warm, but as the winter season comes along, the weather is going to drop a bit! So let’s dive into the weather conditions you can expect for your upcoming trip to Disney World!
Weather Forecast
Overall, temperatures seem to be cooling down a bit, however the highs are generally much warmer than last week’s! Let’s take a look at the forecast for the upcoming week in Orlando.
December 6th
Based on The Weather Channel, Sunday December 6th is expected to be cloudy early, but otherwise mostly sunny for the majority of the day. The high is a bit chilly for Florida, especially with some wind, but luckily the sun will be there to warm you up!
At night, the low is 51 degrees which feels like the Arctic to Floridians! If you are out and about at night, you’ll want to keep a jacket on you. The chance of rain is very low this day, so this should not be an issue. Keep in mind, though, that Florida weather changes all the time!
December 7th
On Monday December 7th, you’ll see weather very similar to the previous day. There is also a high of 66 degrees, however the low is even lower at 45 degrees.
Even though it remains a bit chilly, the day will offer mostly clear and sunny skies with little chance of rain.
December 8th
When we reach Tuesday December 8th, the skies will be mostly sunny, but the high drops to 62 degrees.
The low stays about the same and chances of rain are still low. You’re gonna want to bring your favorite Disney pullover along with you!
December 9th
On Wednesday December 9th, the high warms up just a few degrees…
…as does the low. Still no sign of rain, but it does note “abundant sunshine!”
December 10th
For Thursday December 10th, the weather remains very similar to the previous day.
During the day it will be sunny and still a very slim chance of rain. Winds will be light so hopefully not too much of a wind chill!
December 11th
We get back into the 70s on Friday October 11th! We might be able to bring those t-shirts back out of our closet!
You can expect it to be mostly sunny and although it will be chilly in the evening, it goes up to 55 degrees.
December 12th
Saturday December 12th is mostly the same as the day before. It will switch off from cloudy to sunny through the day…
…and there will likely be some light rain in the evening! If you’re going out for some Saturday night fun at Disney Springs, be sure to grab that rain coat!
Overview of the Week
Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel, where you can see the temperatures stay fairly consistent through the week. It is not likely to rain this coming week, but Florida weather can be unpredictable sometimes!
Other websites like Click Orlando News 6…
…and WESH 2 News have similar forecasts throughout the week.
So we may be able to put away those winter clothes after last week, and possibly wear a t-shirt or light jacket to the parks! It may not be hot Florida weather, but we’re glad it’s warming up!
BUT, Weather Can Change
Always keep in mind that these are only projections for next week. The weather constantly changes in Florida so these days could look a lot different than we all expect them to!
While we recommend looking at the weather and getting an idea of what to pack before your trip, it’s also important to remember that plans could change. Keep checking through your entire trip as it gets closer and closer each day to get the most accurate idea of what you’ll be dealing with.

How Should You Plan?
If you are headed to Disney World next week, we’ve got a few tips on how to plan for the weather!
Bring Sun Protection
As you can see from the upcoming weather, it is going to be really sunny during the day! And if you’re planning on being in the park all day, you’re gonna want to bring some sunglasses or a hat, and some sunscreen!
The Florida sun can be brutal so even though the weather is in the 60s, remember that it can still affect you. We don’t recommend using the It’s Tough to be a Bug 3D glasses as sunglasses like this guy, but hey, at least he’s trying!
Forgot a Jacket? Don’t Worry!
Even though we make packing lists and double-check what’s in our suitcases, sometimes we just forget stuff! And it is apparent that if you are out at night, you’ll likely want at least a light jacket since it gets chilly. If you forget one in your bag, don’t worry!
Disney is prepared for its guests to forget EVERYTHING, including clothes! Not only do the gift shops in the resorts sell toiletries, and over-the-counter medications, but you can find several types of clothing to purchase.
While it may not be ideal to drop $50 on a new jacket unexpectedly, there still is an option if you left it in the closet at home! There are so many options to choose from like zip-ups, pullovers, reversible jackets, and SO much more!
Merchandise Shops Might Be More Crowded at Night
When the weather gets cooler, crowds tend to gather in the merchandise shops for the heat. For this upcoming week, this may not be much of an issue during the day, but it will start to cool down after sunset.
So maybe this means you should get your shopping done earlier in the day if you don’t want to be in a crowd! If the crowds don’t bother you, then no big deal, but this is definitely something to keep in mind especially if shops reach capacity.
It is not supposed to be as cold as last week, however, we did notice this trend in the parks recently.
See what an at capacity Disney World looks like!
No matter what the forecast says, be prepared for the weather to change while you’re at Disney World! It may seem like a perfectly sunny day with no dark clouds insight, and then a minute later there is a downpour. To make sure you have a magical Disney trip, remember to be flexible and be prepared!
