While the Disneyland area is currently under a stay-at-home order, Disney continues to connect with guests near and far about keeping communities safe with health and safety measures.
However, with ICU rates remaining low, this stay-at-home order could be extended, and recently California reported the highest single-day count of new COVID-19 cases in a U.S. state. And now, Orange County has officially hit a new record-number of cases.
The OC Register has detailed that Orange County has reached an all-time daily high of 3,445 new cases of COVID-19 today according to reports from the Orange County Health Care Agency. There have also been 44 more hospitalizations, along with 26 new deaths in the county as well.
The end of the stay-at-home order depends on ICU capacity, but according to Dr. Clayton Chau (Orange County Health Officer), Orange County could remain under this mandate for at least another month.
However, the data is expected to continue to change, especially since California has started to receive vaccines (with more on the way). We’ll be sure to keep you updated on everything you need to know about new procedures and health information in California.
