Oh Disney Tree – How Lovely is Your Mickey Decor

It’s coming up to the most wonderful time of the year, and there’s only one thing that can make it even more wonderful – Disney, of course. As we start to take out our decorations, my family will personally reminisce about our travels. We buy an ornament from the places we visit as a souvenir, and as we decorate our tree, it’s fun to talk about our favorite memories from the places we visited. With repeated Disney vacations, we have many Disney ornaments to add to the tree and so many memories to relive. It makes me wonder – are Disney Christmas items the best souvenirs to bring home?

In my experience, bringing home Christmas ornaments and décor from Disney vacations make a magical time even more magical. Our tree has many Disney ornaments on it, but we easily could have found even more cute ones to add to our tree. Disney creates so many to choose from that are available all year round in certain shops so it’s easy to find one you love. We try to pick one that is specific to that trip, like the Disneyland Diamond Anniversary key ornament or the running shoe from our runDisney race.

Last year, we also brought home some Disney Christmas plates to add to our décor. Our kids love having the special plates to use during the holidays to make it more special, and they are easily stored both during the season and after. The next time we go, I want to let them pick out a coffee cup to drink their hot cocoa out of during the holiday season, too.

Disney also puts out some fun holiday-themed plush items each year that can be purchased at Disney stores or online in addition to in the parks. These items can add extra décor around your house and can be enjoyed for years. I have some different holiday Stitch stuffed animals that are about 20 years old that my kids love to play with now.

When talking about Disney Christmas merchandise, I also know I can’t forget to add in all you can wear! The Disney Christmas pajamas, shirts, Santa hats, and light up necklaces are just the tip of the Disney merchandise iceberg. If you go at the right time of the year to get these souvenirs, they’re great (and adorable) items to bring back.

Whether you love the holiday Mickey ears and spirit jerseys or the Christmas-themed Disney mugs, there is so much to choose from that makes it a great option to bring home. They’re also adding to it every year so even if you visit often, there’s still plenty you can get. Looking at this year’s new items, we may need to get the new Mickey snow bubble wand next time. Bringing all of these souvenirs out just once a year makes it even more special and fun to have. What are your favorite Disney Christmas souvenirs?
