What Could Possibly Go Wrong With Truffles and Booze in Disney World?!

It’s the LAST day of 2020, and what a wild year this one had been, huh?

New Year’s Eve Celebration Wine Package

We’re in Disney World today checking out the limited New Year’s Eve happenings (and reporting in on the crowds!). But you KNOW we’re also checking out any New Year’s-exclusive eats, treats, and sips! And may we just say, Disney has you COVERED on supplies to ring in the New Year.

Many of the Walt Disney World Resort quick-service dining locations are offering the New Year’s Eve Celebration Wine Package featuring Sparkling Wine and Chocolate Truffles. This offering is available TODAY ONLY while supplies last. Yes, the truffles are in that adorable Cinderella box.

New Year’s Eve Celebration Wine Package

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort had François Montand Blanc de Blancs Brut Sparkling Wine.

The tasting notes discuss aromas of white flowers and citrus fruit with a smooth palate and flavors of baked bread, apples, and Meyer lemons.

The package comes with two chocolate truffles themed after Mickey and Minnie. The truffles totally give us Ganachery vibes!

The Mickey Truffle was milk chocolate and caramel…

…and the Minnie Truffle was dark chocolate and raspberry.

No surprise here, but this was pretty good. Chocolate and Brut? Delicious. Our reporter preferred the Mickey Truffle, but both were really yummy! We think this is a fun buy because it’s not much more than a glass of wine so it’s a good serving for one or two to split.

New Year’s Eve Celebration Wine Package

We picked up this package at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort’s Capt. Cook’s, but you can find it available on Mobile Order for $17. And don’t forget, it’s available in other resort hotel locations too!

The 4 Best Things to Do in Disney World in January!

Are you planning to visit Disney World in January?

Walt Disney World Gateway

There are certainly plenty of things to do in Disney World at all times of the year. However, we’ve put together a little list of the BEST things to do in January!

1. Park Hopping!

Park Hopping is FINALLY returning to Disney World following its suspension since the parks’ reopening. While the procedures for Park Hopping may look a little different than we’re used to, we’re still looking forward to it! You still have to make a reservation for your first park of the day, AND physically go to that park before hopping to the next one. And you won’t be able to hop until beginning 2PM.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom entrance

Beginning on January 1st, you’ll be able to travel from park to park again, but keep in mind that this is still based on park capacity limitations! We will have all the need to know details on park hopping in Disney World come January 1.

Check out what Park Hopping may mean for your 2021 vacation here!

2. Visit Gideon’s Bakehouse

Gideon’s Bakehouse opened in Disney Springs just before Christmas.

Gideon’s Bakehouse

This new spot graces the visitors of Disney Springs with super delicious (and huge) cookies, along with cake slices! And the atmosphere is very unique. On top of all of this, they sell cups of FROSTING!

Gideon’s Cookie

If you’re a dessert lover (like we are) we definitely recommend making Gideon’s a must-do during your trip to Disney in January. But make sure to block out some time as Gideon’s has seen upwards of 2-hour waits.

Check out our review from opening day at Gideon’s Bakehouse!

3. Visit EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts

The 2021 EPCOT Festival of the Arts will run from January 8th through February 22nd. Guests can visit food studios to try unique small plates, desserts, and drinks. You’ll also be able to enjoy special performances from groups like Voices of Liberty and Art Defying Gravity.

Chalk Art

Guests can even participate in making Chalk Art and checking out art all over EPCOT!

See ALL the 2021 Festival of the Arts booths here!

4. Celebrate the Birth Month of Tomorrowland Attractions

Two beloved Magic Kingdom attractions, Space Mountain and Carousel of Progress, both opened on January 15th, 1975. Commemorate the anniversary of these Tomorrowland attractions by zooming through space and singing along to “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.”

Space Mountain

Celebrate the 46th Anniversary of these fan-favorite experiences during your trip to Magic Kingdom in January!

We asked our readers which Magic Kingdom land they would get rid of if they had the chance!

If you’re planning to visit Disney World at the start of the year, check out some of these activities during your trip! We’ll be back next month with the 5 best things to do in Disney World in February!

Check out if Park Hopping will be worth the cost when it returns!
