Merry Christmas Eve, everybody! This time of year historically is the MOST crowded in Disney World, and we wanted to head into Magic Kingdom to see what 2020 would bring. With capacity in the parks limited to 35%, we knew the park wouldn’t feel as shoulder-to-shoulder packed as it has in previous years. But would crowds swell? How much?
If you’re here to see what Walt Disney World crowds look like during the busiest week of the year, then we’ve got you covered! We saw really unpredictable crowd levels during Thanksgiving week and we saw really high crowds when the holiday celebrations first arrived in early November, so we weren’t entirely sure what to expect today. Let’s dive right in to some photos to see what crowd levels today are REALLY like!
When we reached the entrance, it didn’t look too bad at all. We were through the gates pretty quickly!
Once inside, we noticed that the Christmas Eve crowds are here, but it doesn’t feel as packed as we were expecting.

We also noticed that groups were doing their best to maintain social distancing.
Main Street, U.S.A. was bustling, but everyone was moving right along.

Over in Adventureland, we saw the end of the Jingle Cruise line right OUTSIDE Adventureland. But we get it, Jingle Cruise won’t be around much longer, so everyone wants to ride it today!

Over in Frontierland, the crowds seemed manageable.
This was the case throughout a lot of the park.
The afternoon crowds were also moving right along and maintaining their social distancing. At times, it didn’t really feel crowded at all.

Tomorrowland was busy, but we’d hardly call it crowded!
We decided to take a peek at today’s park pass availability and were surprised to see that there is still availability for the Magic Kingdom for Annual Passholders for today (although not for Ticket Holders or Resort Guests).
So overall, there are definitely a good number of people in the parks, but it’s not as crowded as we’ve seen it even since the reopening, much less on a typical holiday week.
