As you likely know, EPCOT is currently in the midst of a MASSIVE transformation.
Construction in Future World
In addition to the new rides coming to the park, like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, we’re also expecting a new nighttime spectacular, Harmonious. There are also plans to add some new buildings and features to the park, making it more eye-catching. Part of this plan includes an updated park entrance, and we got some details on the fountain coming to that area today!
On his Instagram, Imagineer Zach Riddley shared the photos below, saying that “EPCOT’s classic geometry and materials – stone, acrylic, metal, water, and shadow – continue to inspire our designers as we put the final touches on our main entrance plaza.”

We got a glimpse at some of the fountain’s features, including the new pylons that were installed here back in August. Riddley already gave us a behind-the-scenes look at how these pylons were made, so it’s exciting to see all the pieces of the fountain coming together now!

When sharing a look into how the pylons were installed, Riddley stated that they planned to unveil this fountain “later this year,” so it seems like construction may be wrapping up just in time to meet that goal! There are only two weeks until 2021, so here’s to hoping that this fountain gets unveiled before then.

Once this area is complete, that will be one less construction zone in EPCOT to deal with, and we’re ready to see the revamped entrance! Stay tuned to DFB as we share the latest news and photos with all of you!
