It’s been a LONG year, and honestly, we all need a little magic wherever we can find it, especially around the holidays. And you know how we find our magic…food, of course!

And if you can’t travel to Walt Disney World to eat ALL of the delicious holiday treats, you can bring a little Disney Christmas magic to your home this season!

Disney Parks Blog shared a guide from influencer Ginny Phillips of Making Main Street on how to make your own Mickey-themed “charcuterie boards,” and they’re pretty darn cute! Ginny shared to boards perfect for Christmas morning: a hot cocoa board and a Mickey waffle board! And as we know VERY well, being Mickey shaped makes every food taste better! 😉

Here’s how to make these at home!

Magical Christmas Eve Hot Chocolate Board

Ingredients:

  • Peppermint crumbles
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Peppermint marshmallows
  • Various chopped nuts
  • Whipped topping
  • Caramel sauce
  • Disney brand Mickey-shaped sprinkles
  • Malted milk balls
  • Coated chocolate candies
  • Various sprinkles
  • Candy canes for stirring
  • White chocolate covered pretzel rods for stirring

Other items needed:

  • Hot chocolate bombs, Mickey shaped!
  • Mickey-shaped silicone/plastic mold and cookie cutter
  • Dipped-rim mugs
  • Platter/board
  • Various small bowls
  • Spoons
  • Hot/steamed milk

How to create Mickey shaped chocolate bombs:

  • Mix chocolate chips with 1 teaspoon coconut oil.
  • Microwave it in a bowl until desired consistency. I recommend 30 seconds at a time.
  • Pour the chocolate into the molds.
  • Refrigerate for 2 hours.

How to make the charcuterie board:

  • I used a Disney Parks Mickey-shaped cookie cutter and placed my chocolate chips inside first. Before removing cookie cutter, I placed chopped peanuts all around, then gently removed the cookie cutter, leaving the Mickey shape.
  • I used my fingers to push the items in straight lines on the board, then placed my bombs and other items on top.
  • I put extra items and liquids in small containers around the board! You can also leave room for these containers on the board itself, if you’d like.
  • Pour steamed milk into mugs.

How to build your hot chocolate:

  • Just choose a Mickey chocolate bomb to add to your mug of steamed milk! Drop it in and grab a spoon to scoop up your mix-ins. Stir, top with more goodies if you’d like, and enjoy!

Christmas Morning Mickey Waffle Board

Ingredients:

  • Various fruits, cut and washed
  • Various chocolate chips
  • Caramel chips
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Sprinkles
  • Various chopped nuts
  • Caramel syrup
  • Whipped topping
  • Crushed peppermint
  • Powdered sugar
  • Strawberry jam
  • Other ingredient ideas: sliced bananas, peanut butter, chocolate syrup, maple syrup, coffee chips, cherries, cinnamon

Other items needed:

  • Mickey Mouse 90th anniversary double flip waffle maker
  • Toothpicks
  • Waffle batter
  • Large platter, two small plates

Instructions:

  • Make waffles.
  • Line the outside edges and direct center of your platter with waffles.
  • Using toppings, fill in the space between with all your goodies! I chose to pinwheel them out in straight lined wedges. Get creative! You can group your items together however you’d like. If you’d like to do it this way, here’s a top: put down your heavier items first and use your fingers to straighten the lines. Then fill the gaps with lighter items like sprinkles and chopped nuts.
  • Add your two ear plates! I chose to put jam, whipped cream, powdered sugar, and strawberries on mine. Other ideas: butter pats, cinnamon, peanut butter, sliced bananas.
  • I added my syrup in a small pourer on the side for easy access.
  • Make your Minnie bows! Just take a toothpick and skewer it through 2 thick strawberry slices and 1 blueberry. Make sure to keep your strawberry slices thick!
  • Place bows on waffles as desired.
  • Now it’s time to grab those waffles, scoop on toppings, and enjoy!

The best part about these merry Mickey morning charcuterie boards is that they’re TOTALLY customizable! So, time to get shopping and building! Christmas is just WEEKS away!
