REVIEW! This Gingerbread Waffle Got a Fresh Holiday Makeover in Disney World!

The EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is in full, and we’re keeping an eye on all the latest offerings!

Festival of the Holidays Sign

Among the festival’s Holiday Kitchens, the Waffles booth opened to guests last week. We also saw this booth at the Food & Wine Festival, although the menu for Festival of the Holidays got a shake-up. And one of the menu items got a new holiday makeover that combines all our favorite festive flavors!

When the Waffles booth made its Festival of the Holidays debut, one of the items on the menu was a Gingerbread Waffle. The waffle was topped with whipped cream and citrus-cranberry sauce, and it made for a delightful sweet snack.

And if that sounds like your perfect dessert, don’t worry — this version of the Gingerbread Waffle IS currently still on the menu. But there’s a brand-new Gingerbread Waffle in town, and it’s packing some iconic holiday flavors!

Waffle Booth

As we were passing by the booth today, we noticed a Cast Member switching out the menu board at the Waffles booth. The new menu lists a second Gingerbread Waffle, topped with whipped cream, chocolate ganache, and crushed peppermint.

We love the seasonal gingerbread AND peppermint flavors (plus the always-in-season flavors of chocolate and whipped cream!) so we had to give this new version a try. And we’re happy to say, we were NOT disappointed!

The waffle was topped with a generous amount of whipped cream. The chocolate drizzle was just the right amount for us — we could definitely taste it but it didn’t overpower the other flavors. The crushed peppermint added a nice, fresh flavor, and it was garnished with some extra on the side in case you want to kick up the minty-ness a bit more!

We really enjoyed this version of the Gingerbread Waffle and as long as you’re a fan of peppermint (and gingerbread, of course) this could be worth a try for your sweet fix in EPCOT! You can find it at the Waffles booth for $4.25. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more new seasonal snacks around the parks, so stay tuned for all the latest updates!
