Since we call ourselves a food blog, we have to try all kinds of snacks: the good, the bad, and the ugly.
We remember those that were rather disappointing to the eye, like the Pumpkin Spice Pretzel and the Poor Unfortunate Souls Float (the original with black raspberry soft serve). There are even a few “gross” Disney snacks that we actually recommend trying, like blue milk and Beverly, but there are always those that we don’t really understand. No matter how we feel about the snack, we usually do our best to muster up the courage to try the unique ones, and that’s exactly what we did today with a new flavor of Kit Kat!
Today we spotted a new Kit Kat flavor in Mitsukoshi at EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion. When we first saw the bag, we thought “SEAL?! Seal flavored Kit Kats?! Who asked for this?” Honestly, we started to get pretty nervous.
However, upon further inspection, we realized that the Kit Kats are actually Ocean Salt flavored, and they just put a photo of a seal on the bag. (Thank goodness!)
Ocean Salt sounds a lot more appealing than “seal flavor”, so we bought a bag for $9.49 to test them out! When we opened the bag, we noticed that each individual Kit Kat was packaged with an ocean animal on the front. We spotted a dolphin, a whale, a turtle, and jellyfish — surprisingly no sharks though.
We went for the Kit Kat with the otter on the front…he’s just so cute!
We were pleasantly surprised by the taste of these! The Kit Kat has the flavor of white chocolate with a hint of salt. The two flavors actually worked pretty well together!
If you ask us, we’d probably buy these again. If you’re into the whole sweet-salty combo, then this may be a new favorite snack!
Mitsukoshi is full of weird snacks to try, so definitely check this store out the next time you’re in EPCOT! We’ll keep you updated with photos and honest reviews of any more interesting treats that we find in Walt Disney World!
