Are you planning to visit Disney World in January?
There are certainly plenty of things to do in Disney World at all times of the year. However, we’ve put together a little list of the BEST things to do in January!
1. Park Hopping!
Park Hopping is FINALLY returning to Disney World following its suspension since the parks’ reopening. While the procedures for Park Hopping may look a little different than we’re used to, we’re still looking forward to it! You still have to make a reservation for your first park of the day, AND physically go to that park before hopping to the next one. And you won’t be able to hop until beginning 2PM.
Beginning on January 1st, you’ll be able to travel from park to park again, but keep in mind that this is still based on park capacity limitations! We will have all the need to know details on park hopping in Disney World come January 1.

2. Visit Gideon’s Bakehouse
Gideon’s Bakehouse opened in Disney Springs just before Christmas.
This new spot graces the visitors of Disney Springs with super delicious (and huge) cookies, along with cake slices! And the atmosphere is very unique. On top of all of this, they sell cups of FROSTING!
If you’re a dessert lover (like we are) we definitely recommend making Gideon’s a must-do during your trip to Disney in January. But make sure to block out some time as Gideon’s has seen upwards of 2-hour waits.

3. Visit EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts
The 2021 EPCOT Festival of the Arts will run from January 8th through February 22nd. Guests can visit food studios to try unique small plates, desserts, and drinks. You’ll also be able to enjoy special performances from groups like Voices of Liberty and Art Defying Gravity.
Guests can even participate in making Chalk Art and checking out art all over EPCOT!

4. Celebrate the Birth Month of Tomorrowland Attractions
Two beloved Magic Kingdom attractions, Space Mountain and Carousel of Progress, both opened on January 15th, 1975. Commemorate the anniversary of these Tomorrowland attractions by zooming through space and singing along to “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.”
Celebrate the 46th Anniversary of these fan-favorite experiences during your trip to Magic Kingdom in January!
We asked our readers which Magic Kingdom land they would get rid of if they had the chance!
