Our love for cookies at Disney World runs DEEP. About as deep as the deep-dish Jack-Jack Num Num Cookies at Hollywood Studios, which we’ve been HUGE fans of!
A little known secret, though, is that Disney doesn’t actually even make these cookies! They come from a local bakery, and just this week that bakery announced you can no longer get these cookies directly from their shop in nearby Winter Garden!
We’ve been on a bit of an emotional Num Num Cookie roller coaster this season, tbh.
Only recently, the Hollywood Studios treat made its LONG AWAITED return at The Market, and you better believe we stocked up on these chocolate-studded snacks!
But in a bit of bummer news, Douce France Bakery, the bakery that actually makes these cookies for Disney, announced that they are no longer selling these cookies (or any other baked goods) direct to customers due to slowing business.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Winter Garden’s Douce France Bakery said, “We made the difficult decision to stop selling this Saturday December 4th through our online ordering system and our Bake Sale. It’s gotten slower and slower.”
No doubt it’s been a rough year for small businesses, and this is yet another example. But even though we can’t go to Douce France in person, we’ll just have to keep coming back to Hollywood Studios to get our Num Num fix!
Or, ya know, we can use this recipe to make our own at home!
