We’re knee-deep in the holiday season, and as is always the case here at Walt Disney World, we have a plethora of seasonal snacks from which to choose. And while I’ve had what I believe to be the worst Disney World holiday snack of 2020 (click here to read my experience as I tried this snack), today, I’d like to recommend one of the best.
It always strikes me as funny when both some of the best and some of the worst snacks can be found at the same dining location, but that’s definitely the case here. Today, I submit for your snacking enjoyment: ABC Commissary‘s Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake.
This dessert is the size of the Mango Pie that can be found at Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe or the brownie dessert that is offered at so many WDW quick service spots. That being said, don’t let its somewhat smaller size fool you; this dessert is incredibly good.
The treat features thick pumpkin pie cheesecake with a gingersnap crumble crust, all topped with a ribbon of whipped cream and holiday sprinkles. The pumpkin pie flavor isn’t too over the top in the pumpkin department, and the cheese taste in the cheesecake isn’t overwhelming. The cinnamon and spices used in this dessert add lovely layers of flavor and warmth. Everything is just perfectly balanced.
The star of the dessert is the gingersnap crumble crust. It caught me by surprise how very good this buttery crust was, and how nice the combination of pumpkin, cheesecake, and gingersnap were. Big points are earned on that crust alone.
The Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake ($5.49) is being offered throughout the holidays, and can be ordered by clicking on “Holiday Exclusives” on the ABC Commissary page in the My Disney Experience app.
