Well, it’s Christmas week and there’s a lot going on at Walt Disney World!
There are holiday celebrations at the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs with characters and decorations, there are seasonal snacks to be found all around the resort, and there is even some special holiday entertainment at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays. We want to make sure we cover ALL the Disney news this week, so we traveled to the EPCOT area resorts to see what things are like over there!
EPCOT Resorts Food Updates
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop
As we reported earlier this week, the walk-up to-go window at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is now closed. During this trip to the Beach Club Resort, we noticed that the area is now covered (not very discreetly, we might add) with planters.
They also added a trash can right in front. The restaurant itself is still open, but the walk-up window is “closed indefinitely.”
To get more details on the closing of this feature, make sure to check out our article.

Beach Club Marketplace
Also at the Beach Club, we wanted to point out a seasonal treat, the Peppermint Cheesecake. The mini cheesecake is topped with holiday decorations and features a signature Christmas flavor.
Pick this one up for a limited time for $5.49, and while you’re there, make sure to check out the other festive snacks in the bakery case!

BoardWalk Bakery
When we got word that BoardWalk Bakery had a NEW holiday treat, we had to try it out. It’s the Christmas Cinnamon Bun Pull-Apart, and it turned out to be wonderfully ooey and gooey! For $4.29, we dove into its cinnamon and cream cheese icing goodness, and it was delicious!
But we also noticed more new breakfast items there: Mickey Breakfast Frittatas! We got both, and our favorite was easily the Spinach and Feta Mickey Breakfast Frittata. It was so creamy and rich!
But the Sausage and Cheddar Mickey Breakfast Frittata was also good and perfect for those who like traditional egg, cheese, and meat flavors!
And they’re both shaped like Mickey! They’re available now for $6.99 each.

EPCOT Resorts Attractions Updates
Bike Rental at BoardWalk
Over at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, guests can now rent bikes at Community Hall! Rentals are available from 10AM-5PM daily, and cost $4.02 for 30 minutes, $7 for 1 hour, and $20 for the full day.
Closed toed shoes are required to ride, and children must be accompanied by an adult. This could be a great way to spend a relaxing resort day, but be prepared if you’re making the loop around Crescent Lake that some of those hills are high enough to build some leg muscles!

Characters at Stormalong Bay
We’ve seen several characters stopping by the Disney Resorts recently, and during this trip, we were treated to a visit by Goofy and Pluto at Stormalong Bay!
The characters waved to friends in the pool below while dancing along with the music. We’re really enjoying these interactions!

EPCOT Resorts Merchandise Updates
Beach Club Marketplace
There wasn’t very much new merchandise to report on this visit, but we did notice several items that we had previously seen elsewhere. We noticed the new princess face mask had popped up here for $9.99. It says “Never Underestimate a Princess,” and we love that catchphrase!
This Beach Club hat is also available in the store, reminding us of something we’d wear while relaxing on the ocean shore. Get this one at the resort for $27.99.
Also, lots of 2021 merchandise has arrived in this store. We saw tees, plushes, towels, toys, and so much more!
We’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more 2021-specific items, especially as the Christmas season wraps up in the next few days and we go into full New Year mode!

Screen Door General Store
Over on the BoardWalk, we stopped off in the Screen Door General Store and spotted several more items that we’d previously seen. This store had the new Game of Life, Theme Parks Edition in stock, which would make an excellent last-minute gift.
We also noticed a few items from the Reigning Cats and Dogs Collection, like these hair clips…
…and these ears! The cat lovers’ pair features Marie from The Aristocats, while the dog pair is Dalmatian-themed.
They had the newest line of Disney-themed tumblers in stock, including the gorgeous iridescent one!
Also, the sale on Wonderland Tea is running in this store as well. We’ve noticed the sale in other shops around Walt Disney World.
There was also merchandise for Pixar’s new movie, Soul, which hits Disney+ tomorrow!
We’re excited to watch this new movie on Christmas day, and we’ll be checking for more Soul-themed items after the film’s release.

The Market at Ale & Compass
At Yacht Club’s gift shop, several 2021 pins were on display. They’ve got quite the assortment of designs, with a variety of Disney characters!
Also, the Disney Dogs Shirt that comes with the Reigning Cats and Dogs Collection was here. It’s selling for $36.99.
The new collection offers items for pets and pet owners alike, and we’re really enjoying the creative designs.
