What’s New at Disney’s Polynesian and Old Key West Resorts: GIANT Dole Whip, a Favorite Dessert, and Holiday Cocktails!

While we love the Disney World theme parks, there’s something EXTRA special about stopping by Disney resorts to see what’s new.

So, we did just that! We stopped by Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Old Key West Resort to see what’s new, and boy, did we find some GEMS!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Food Updates

Pineapple Lanai

Do you love Dole Whip? No, like, do you really, REALLY LOVE Dole Whip?! If you’re committed to your pineapple soft serve, then Disney has blessed you this week with the grand debut of the Lapu Hula! This MASSIVE treat at Pineapple Lanai a WHOLE hallowed out pineapple filled with Dole Whip!

Lapu Hula

And, yes, it comes with a shot of coconut rum!

Lapu Hula

This treat is super shareable and the perfect thing to enjoy on the beach at the Poly. It costs $14.25, which isn’t a bad deal considering the size (and shot!).

Tambu Lounge

It’s a good week for favorite foods at the Polynesian! An Ohana-inspired version of Bread Pudding has appeared on the menu at Tambu Lounge!

Bread Pudding at Tambu Lounge

This warm, pineapple bread is paired with a caramel sauce.

It’s a little different from ‘Ohana’s signature bread pudding. It’s not served a la mode, and there are no bananas in the caramel sauce. But it still hits the spot! If you want ice cream, you can head over to Kona Cafe for their bread pudding.

Gurgling Suitcase

The Gurgling Suitcase is serving up a trio of holiday cocktails: The Fireberry Cider, the Snowball, and the Spiked Egg Nog!

Gurgling Suitcase Holiday Drinks

We decided to try the Fireberry Cider, which features Angry Orchard Crisp Hard Apple Cider, Cranberry Juice, and Fireball Whisky. To make this bright red drink extra festive, it comes with a Mickey Jingle Bell Glow Cube!

Fireberry Cider

This cocktail costs $17.50, and we found it to be crisp, fruity, and refreshing with JUST the right amount of cinnamon kick!

And, there you have it! These are all the new treats to try at Disney’s Polynesian and Old Key West Resorts!
