Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT!
And, we’ve got plenty of construction, entertainment, merchandise, and food updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
EPCOT Construction Updates
Guardians of the Galaxy
As Disney World moves forward with a whole lot of construction around the parks, we’ve been keeping our eyes on the Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster coming soon.
We’ve noticed that the construction has been moving forward to bring the attraction to life with ride vehicles, more beams, and other additional details.
Future World
While the EPCOT entrance has started to look quite snazzy with a brand new fountain and the pylons, there are still also a whole lot of things to come near Spaceship Earth!
Although we haven’t received too many details on the new MouseGear location or what will replace the Electric Umbrella, we’ll have to keep checking back to give you all the updates you need to know!
Space 220
Next to Mission: SPACE, the Space 220 restaurant has seen some major updates with a peek at the construction inside as the construction walls have started to come down.
While there haven’t been many clues about when Space 220 will be making its debut, the green sign out front might feature the logo when the restaurant opens!
As we continue to make our way to EPCOT, we’ll be sure to check out all the other progress happening at Space 220 soon too.
Here’s a look at the latest update on Space 220!
SeaBase
One section at SeaBase was closed for routine maintenance…
…but there were still plenty of aquatic animals for guests to check out throughout the rest of the aquarium.
EPCOT Merchandise Updates
Pin Traders
Since Florida has started to drop temperature a bit during the holidays, Pin Traders has moved pin trading inside so guests and Cast Members don’t have to stand in the cold.
Guests can look at numbered parts of the board to choose which pins they want to add to their collection back home or feature on their lanyard to wear around Disney World.
After you pin trade, you can also grab yourself a few new pins off the shelves instead with brand new Nightmare Before Christmas Pins! You can fashion the Scary Teddy Pin…
…as well as the Sally Pin for $9.99 each.
And, you can even add the Nightmare Before Christmas Pin featuring some of the best citizens of Halloween Town for $12.99!
(Halloween and Christmas might be over, but we totally want to wear this cutie all year long!)
Here’s a look at the cutest Nightmare Before Christmas Pins in Disney World!
Along with the holidays, you can also celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Empire Strikes Back with a whole line of pins featuring Luke Skywalker and Yoda…
…Darth Vader…
…and Chewbacca for $17.99!
And, you can channel your girl power with the Her Universe Star Wars Pins that show off Ahsoka Tano as a “survivor”…
…and Rey as “independent” for $19.99 each.
Mouse Gear
If you love both Disney Parks, you can also snag the attraction posters for some of your favorite rides in Disneyland. Over at MouseGear, you can take home the 500-piece Disneyland Attraction Poster Puzzle for $34.99.
You can also pick up the 2021 Ears in Disney World while you’re there. These have the Walt Disney World logo, Cinderella Castle, and Mickey Mouse in a primary color scheme for $29.99.
(Anybody else ready to wear them to ring in 2021 this year??)
Here’s a look at the 2021 Ears in Disney World!
Disney Traders
It might be after Christmas, but we’re sure your kids would appreciate the cutest Eeyore Disney Babies Plush as a post-holiday gift!
The plush comes with a mini wrap blanket that has flowers, Eeyore’s little stick hut, and more…
…which only makes Eeyore’s little tail and bow all the more adorable!
Disney Traders also has a 1,000-piece, 2-Sided Disney Dog and Cat Puzzle. This features Cheshire Cat and the Aristocats on one side…
…and the Disney dogs on the other side with the Dalmatians, Pluto, and even Stitch (who Lilo thought was a dog at first) for $24.99.
And, while you’re at Disney Traders, you can find a whole bunch of 2021 merchandise with plushes, apparel, kitchenware…
…and even the 2021 ears too!
Japan Pavilion
For all you anime fans out there, you can also take home the Naruto Coin Bank that features Naruto looking like a pretty epic hero…
…as guests store their treasures on the back of the coin bank for $22.95.
China Pavilion
China also has a few sparkly purses that make GORGEOUS accessories with jewels and gems in the shape of a bird and a flower bag for $198.
Italy Pavilion
The Italy Pavilion is showing off all its eats and treats with wine, tiramisu, gelato, cappuccinos, and (of course) LOVE on the newest tank top for $29.99.
Germany Pavilion
As we near the end of the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, the Holiday Markets started to close up or switch to something new in the park.
Soon they’ll be changing into new market booths for the Festival of the Arts, and we’re feeling especially excited for the new goodies.
We’re keeping an ear to the ground for those full menus!
Art of Disney
If you’re looking for an adorable line of plushes to add to your shelves at home, the Art of Disney now has the Lion King Steiff Gift Set for $450…
…and the Nala Plush for $220.
EPCOT Food Update
Japan Pavilion
We hope that you’re ready to chill out with some great food in the Japan Pavilion because Tokyo Dining has officially re-opened with a modified dining experience.
The restaurant will be reopening for a limited time now through December 31st with sushi, wine, sake, and more.
Right now, Tokyo Dining is only operating with a walk-up option from noon to 6 PM daily, but we’ll have to be sure to check back if the restaurant extends its opening past the end of the year!
Here’s a look at the newly re-opened Tokyo Dining!
Over at Mitsukoshi, you can stock up on some extra sweet treats to celebrate the New Year. While Matcha and Strawberry Kit Kats have returned…
…now you can also snag Dark Chocolate Kit Kats when you pop into the Japan Pavilion!
China Pavilion
But, if you want something salty to pair with your sweet treats, you can grab the Millet Crisp Crust Spiced Chips…
…and the Millet Crisp Crust Cumin Chips in the China Pavilion too!
Morocco Pavilion
After all those snacks, you might want a drink to follow! And, you only have to head over to the Morocco Pavilion now that there’s a temporary pop-up bar for guests!
While the bar will only be there through the holidays, you can snag champagne, beer, and other sips…
…that are also all available at the France Pavilion, according to a Cast Member!
EPCOT Entertainment Update
World Showplace
Over at the World Showplace, the Freeform Photo-Op for Christmas was moved inside for guests to visit so they don’t have to pose outdoors in the colder temperature! Plus, the lights shining on it are GREAT for the perfect Instagram snap!
EPCOT Attractions
While Disney World is celebrating the holidays with all sorts of entertainment, now the attractions are joining in on the celebration by decorating a few of their ride signs across EPCOT! Over at Test Track, you can find garland wrapped around the queue pole…
…with elves greeting guests who want to ride the attraction!
Frozen Ever After also has garlands wrapped around the sign with snowmen in Santa hats (probably Olaf’s brothers and sisters).
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at EPCOT! We’ll catch you next time for more merchandise, construction, food, and entertainment updates! And, if you have any questions about your upcoming Disney vacations, let us know so we can help you find the answers.
