Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT!
And, we’ve got a look at crowds, construction, food, and entertainment! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
EPCOT Food Update
While we were hopping around the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays during our visit, we thought we would stop by the Waffles Booth for a quick treat…
…like the Gingerbread Waffle…
…and the Turkey and Waffle!
These festive holiday treats look incredible!
Take a full look at the Waffles Booth here!
EPCOT Construction Update
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
We’ve gotten a whole lot of news about the Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster (and even a sneak peek from Baby Groot riding the attraction himself)! And, each time we see construction in the parks, we get more excited about the attraction’s big debut!
We noticed more and more wood paneling on the top of the building.
Check out Groot riding the upcoming attraction
Space 220
Speaking of construction, Space 220 is still moving forward with its construction as Disney gave a look inside the restaurant recently.
However, the sign is still covered for the restaurant near Mission: SPACE.
Take a look at the upcoming Space 220
Harmonious
Although we’ve had a bird’s eye view of the construction on Harmonious, we also spotted the barges being built in the World Showcase Lagoon.
Signs have also been placed around the lagoon so guests can read about the daytime fountain and nighttime spectacular that will be coming soon!
We can’t wait for the rest of the barges to make their way into the lagoon!
Check out all the details on the Harmonious construction here!
Italy Pavilion
Over at the Italy Pavilion, we’ve been on the lookout for progress on the possible gelato cart.
Although we can’t see any more building structure sticking out near the construction walls, we’ll have to continue checking back!
Get more info on the Italy Pavilion gelato cart here
Canada Pavilion
The Canada Pavilion closed off the staircase to the uppermost part of the pavilion, and redirected guests to the ramp that was adjacent to it.
We aren’t sure why the stairs are closed currently, but we’ll keep you updated if we find anything out!
Check out the JAMMitors in the Canada Pavilion
EPCOT Miscellaneous Update
France Pavilion
France might be getting a LOT of new things like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and returning spots like the re-opened Chefs de France. However, the perfume shops in the pavilion still haven’t opened to guests yet!
The last time we were in the France Pavilion, we noticed that the Givenchy Perfume shop had a few Cast Members decorating the shop for Christmas.
Today, we also noticed that there was a Cast Member in the Guerlain shop.
Hopefully that means that the perfume shops will be opening soon in the France Pavilion!
Sneak peek of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Morocco Pavilion
Since Disney is taking control of the Morocco Pavilion, most of the spots in the area have closed during this time.
However, the Gifts of Morocco shop on the waterside of the pavilion is welcoming guests once again!
Take a look at the details of Morocco’s gifts shops starting to re-open!
Yet, the henna station and other parts of the pavilion were closed during our visit (even though Spice Road Table has opened to everyone today again)!
United Kingdom Pavilion
We also noticed in the UK Pavilion that a super cute ECV was decorated like a VW Beetle as whoever owned it hopped around the park.
Talk about riding around World Showcase in style!
Check out this Beatles and Queen merch in the UK Pavilion
Norway Pavilion
Since we can’t help but be excited that the characters are out and about in Disney World, we were glad to see that Elsa was out greeting guests at the Royal Somerhaus in the Norway Pavilion!
With a smile and a heart full of magic, she is bound to make your day special!
We’ve got a look at EPCOT’s holiday entertainment
EPCOT Crowd Update
The crowds were HOPPING in EPCOT today during our visit with a bunch of guests returning to Disney World to celebrate the holiday season.
Disney recently increased its capacity to 35%, with Park Passes consistently selling out throughout the month of December (including Christmas and New Year’s)!
However, we saw quite a few people in EPCOT as families, individuals, and others head back to the parks to watch the cavalcades, ride attractions, and explore the park!
Compared to past years, the crowds are not bad, but the parks are busier than we’ve seen them since the reopening!
Here’s a look at Disney World at capacity
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at EPCOT! We’ll catch you next time for more food, entertainment, construction, and crowd updates!
