What’s New in Magic Kingdom: Cast Members Work on the PeopleMover, Crystal Palace Reopens, and More!

We saw some exciting updates in Magic Kingdom yesterday!

Magic Kingdom

Disney World’s flagship park tends to be an absolute delight and our visit yesterday was no different. We’re bringing you ALL the news from Magic Kingdom; take a look at everything new in food, construction, and merchandise!

Magic Kingdom Food Updates

The Crystal Palace

We’ve got a MAJOR update in the food department. A CLASSIC Magic Kingdom restaurant reopened for the first time since the park closures yesterday. That’s right, we got to return to The Crystal Palace!

The Crystal Palace Reopening

Of course, things are a little different at this location. You won’t spot our pals visiting from the Hundred Acre Wood in the interest of safety, and the buffet offering has swapped to family-style servings and a la carte options.

And yes, we whipped up a FULL REVIEW!

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates

PeopleMover

As you’ve probably noticed, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has been closed for the majority of 2020. The attraction has seen several closure extensions and is currently listed as closed through January 9th, 2021.

PeopleMover

Yesterday, we saw some Cast Members walking around on the ride system. We’re not sure if this could be related to a reopening or if it was to check in on some standard maintenance. We’ve got our fingers crossed a reopening comes next month either way!

TRON Lightcycle Run

We also took our usual glimpse at the progress on TRON Lightcycle Run in Tomorrowland and we have to say, it’s REALLY coming along! The lighted outdoor canopy is almost completely in shape over the ride track.

TRON Construction

This upcoming coaster is set to open ahead of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in 2021 as long as no delays are announced. We can’t wait to go speeding through the Grid!

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates

Emporium

AND, we found some seriously snazzy new tumblers at Main Street Emporium! There’s this super snazzy Enchanted Tiki Room Tumbler; don’t you think this would be perfect to sip a Dole Whip-inspired cocktail from?

And there’s this FastPass to Friday Tumbler which is so silly and cute. Sipping out of this will have you saying TGIF in no time!
