Disney World is home to some of the most exotic and breathtaking Resorts to stay at and experience, but they are not always the perfect fit for some. That’s why today we have put together a list of reasons to stay off Disney Property on your next trip. 1. MORE AFFORDABLE
To start off, the biggest advantage to stay off Disney Property is how much more affordable it is. Even if you want to stay at a luxury hotel or just an airbnb you won’t be paying as much as you would for Disney’s premium accommodations. In other words, you won’t be paying for the On-Site Disney stay convenience. Being more affordable also means you won’t be as close to the parks as if you were staying at a Disney Resort. You won’t be able to walk straight to the parks, but you will still be close depending on how close your hotel you choose is. Comparing prices to a Disney Resort is a real shocker. We stayed at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and our 1 night stay was $541/night, which is mind blowing because this is cheaper than a Cabin at Fort Wilderness. For example, we stayed at Bay Lake Tower and 1 room was $770/night. Of course, you can choose and find cheaper hotels that fit your families needs but you will also have to take into consideration how far it is from the things you want to do. For your next trip to the Disney Parks, definitely look into off-site hotels and stays because you will figure out that it is much more affordable and will allow you to budget in other fun things to do.
2. MORE SPACE
Besides saving money, which is the biggest advantage to staying off-site, there are many other minor benefits we found and you will too. Some may look forward to the Disney theme and want to stay at a Disney Resort due to this. But sometimes picking the theme over the bang for your buck could be your biggest mistake. We found that off-site hotels offer much more space and room compared to the Disney Resorts. If you’re going on a family vacation you may want to look at hotels or even airbnbs because some can offer much more space. For example, our stay at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek our hotel room was incredibly roomy and for the price you pay it’s the most bang for your buck.
3. NEIGHBOR HOTELS
Last but not least, we end off our 3 reasons to stay off Disney Property for your next trip with finding good Neighbor Hotels. What we mean by finding good Neighbor Hotels, find a hotel that is in the proximity of Disney and offers some of the same perks. You can find multiple stays that offer the same accommodations as Disney, if not more! Staying off Disney property you still get the same perks but you will lose some of the Disney privilege. Staying at a good Neighbor Hotel you’re still able to book your Disney Reservation to enter the park of your choice but it’s a lot easier if you stayed on-site. What we mean by this is, you have a better chance to enter one of the harder parks such as Hollywood Studios than you would not staying at a Disney Resort. But, some neighboring hotels do offer the same perks as a Disney Resort, you just have to do your research. Another good thing about staying at a neighboring hotel is that some will offer transportation to the parks or even the airport.
