There’s a LOT of new content coming to Disney+ soon, and we’re really excited!

There are Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar series, as well as original movies, all premiering throughout this year and into 2022 and 2023. We love the creativity that Disney pours into creating this new content, and now we’ve got another original series to anticipate! A new food competition show is coming to Disney+, and it will be hosted and executive produced by Keke Palmer!

The new show, titled Foodtastic, is an unscripted competition where participants make over-the-top Disney-themed sculptures out of all types of food! The judges for the show include NYC’s City Cakes founder Chef Benny Rivera and FLOUR SHOP founder Amirah Kassem.

The 11-episode series began production this week and will premiere later this year. In each episode, three teams of artists transform Disney characters into edible masterpieces. Their works are judged on design, technical skills, and narrative, but not on taste.

The leftover food from each week’s competition will be donated to local food banks to help those in need. In addition to Keke Palmer, Josh Silberman, Sarah Happel Jackson, Sharon Levy, DJ Nurre, and Michael Heyerman will serve as executive producers.
