Included among the executive orders signed yesterday by President Biden was one that specifically addresses travel restrictions to be adhered to by international travelers wishing to enter the United States. Also included in the order were masking standards to be followed on domestic modes of transportation, as well as in airports.
Yesterday’s executive order reinforces the January 12th statement made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that, as of January 26th, all international travelers would be required to obtain a negative COVID-19 test within three days of traveling to the U.S.
Upon entering the United States, travelers must quarantine as per CDC recommendations.
Also per the executive order, masks must be worn in airports, commercial aircraft, trains, and “public maritime vessels.”
