The EPCOT Transformation is underway and we found some surprising (and exciting) news today!

So obviously there’s lots to be excited about when it comes to the transformation — Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, Moana Journey of Water, La Creperie de Paris, and more — and we’re waiting patiently for all of it. Now, it looks like we may have another new spot to look forward to too!
Earlier this month, we spotted a mysterious Walt Disney Imagineering building permit to “Fabricate and install a kiosk.” At the time, we couldn’t find the address coded to any building in particular, so what could it be? Perhaps a new addition for an EPCOT festival? NOPE.

Today, we checked the address again and found that it is now coded to “EPCOT Popcorn Kiosk” at a location that hasn’t had a popcorn kiosk in the past! It looks like EPCOT might be getting another popcorn stop!

The location sits right next to the prior home of Mouse Gear in Innoventions East, just down the path from Test Track. You’ll notice this is right near the bulk of construction on Future World, soon to be World Celebration.

The permit was filed with Icarus Exhibits, a contractor that tends to do more themed work in Disney World. So, could World Celebration be getting its very own popcorn cart? It certainly seems like it!
