Theme parks are looking very different nowadays with plexiglass barriers, distancing measures, sanitizing stations, and even completely modified queues and experiences.
EPCOT
Recently, COVID-19 vaccines were introduced around the states. Now that Florida has started to distribute the vaccine, the state has made some changes to its distribution processes.
The Orlando Sentinel has reported that the Orlando Health hospital group will be widening its pool of eligible recipients to those 65 and older starting Monday, January 11th. Also, it will be moving its vaccination sites from inside hospitals to six community centers to administer the Moderna vaccine.
Health and Safety Signage
The additional vaccination sites will be located in Lake Mary, Windermere, Winter Garden, St. Cloud, Orlando, and Leesburg.
Hand-Sanitizing Stations
According to Orlando Health, the scheduling information for vaccination appointments will be sent directly to people who are eligible on a randomized basis. Appointment availability is first-come, first-served. The Moderna vaccine requires two doses spaced four weeks apart, so patients will need to schedule their second dose later on.
Distancing Markers
Since Orlando Health started administering doses in December, they have been able to give 30,000 doses to front-line health care workers, residents, and staff of long-term care facilities, and others.

Recently, Governor Ron DeSantis discussed his plans to help vaccinate the population of 65 and older within Florida, by noting that “We’re going to keep working hard until every senior who wants it is able to get it.”
Face Masks
At this time, the Department of Health has reported that 514,300 people have received the first dose of the vaccine, which included 235,000 doses specifically to people over the age of 65. Florida has 35,857 residents who have received both doses.
