To Star Wars fans located in Southern California, we’ve got some exciting news for you!
The Star Wars Trading Post that just opened up this past September at Downtown Disney in Disneyland Resort is getting a brand new location! Plus, it’ll continue offering exclusive merchandise from Galaxy’s Edge.
Disney announced that the intergalactic shop will be making its way to the west end of Downtown Disney. But this will be no ordinary shop. Walt Disney Imagineers had a hand in creating the new location, and there are some pretty cool details coming to the store!
Imagineers have created a design that is inspired by a hidden jungle Resistance base, and guests will be able to see Rey’s speeder near the entrance.
And although Californians can’t get into the real Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge due to Disneyland’s closures, they can grab merchandise that is exclusive to that land. This includes creatures, robes, lightsabers, apparel, and more!
Since Star Wars Trading Post is moving, the WonderGround Gallery, a shop that offers everything from housewares and spirit jerseys, will soon reopen! This shop originally closed to make way for the Star Wars-based store, but now it will return. Disney has not announced an opening date for these two shops just yet, but we will let you know as soon as it is released.
