Walt Disney World has been open for nearly 50 years now!
After 50 years, things can wear down and need to get replaced or touched up. Recently, we’ve seen several attraction refurbishments and paint jobs getting done around the parks. One such replacement happened over at Pirates of the Caribbean.
We have been keeping a close eye on the Pirate’s flag for almost two months. The Pirates flag for the attraction went missing and was replaced by a solid black flag. A Cast Member told us to be on the lookout for a replacement. And that replacement has officially arrived.
Thanks to @schreiberjoe on Instagram, we got this photo of the updated attraction flag at Pirates of the Caribbean in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Wow, the red really pops now!
It looks incredibly similar to the old flag, just with brighter colors (the old one was faded from the Florida sun). Here’s a picture of the old one:
Even if it’s just a remake of the original, we’re glad to see that Disney’s keeping things nice and spiffy around the parks! Stay tuned to DFB for more information on Disney refurbishments and updates!
