If you’ve been following the Disney World happenings recently, you’re probably waiting patiently for news of the France Expansion and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT.
Well, we’ve got a pretty BIG update today as we got to head inside part of the new area for the first time today. That’s right, some construction walls are DOWN in EPCOT’s France Pavilion Expansion!
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, La Creperie de Paris, and the rest of the France Expansion are set to open sometime this year — but we’re not sure WHEN. We noticed that walls were down near the Ratatouille sign last week, and now we actually got to walk into part of the expansion!

…and this is what it looked like today! Foliage wall, be gone!

Note that the entire expansion is NOT open, but a new pathway and new restrooms are. Even this limited stroll gave us our first chance to take a look at some of the new detailing up close.
The buildings make this look just like the romantic and beautiful streets of Paris.
The buildings have intricate coloring to make them look much more realistic.
Here’s a glimpse of the new benches for the area — complete with distancing markers.
Right as you enter the area, there’s this simple but beautiful wall. Perfect for pictures, don’t ya think?
The path we’re on is actually called “Rue Auguste Gusteau.” What a neat detail! Who knew Gusteau got his very own street named after him?
The gorgeous theming of this pathway is making us even MORE excited to see the rest of the expansion!
Do you think it will be even prettier at night?
We love all the details in the France expansion and can’t wait to see it at night all lit up! pic.twitter.com/PLWeHta9GE

…and the inside.
This area even includes the to-go window for La Creperie de Paris. Or, should we say, Crêpes à Emporter? La Creperie de Paris will be BOTH a table-service and quick-service offering serving up a menu of sweet and savory crêpes from celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse.
You can see that construction barriers continue to block off the rest of the expansion that leads over to the new creperie and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. We’re certainly hoping these come down soon so that we can take our very own spin through Gusteau’s kitchen!
You can bet we’ll be keeping an eye on any and all news from the France Expansion and about the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Stay tuned to DFB so you don’t miss ANY of the important updates!
