REVIEW: Did This Sorcerer Mickey Krispie From Disneyland Taste Just as Good From Our Home?

Despite Southern California’s regional stay-at-home order mandating that restaurants can only serve takeout and delivery, Disneyland is still finding ways to give guests the options to pick up their favorite sweet treats while following government protocol!

We hopped into Trolley Treats, the resident candy and sweets shop in Disney California Adventure (currently open as part of the Buena Vista Street expansion of Downtown Disney) to try one of their latest Rice Krispie Treats…but we would have to wait a little while before we actually ate it!

Currently, Trolley Treats and Marceline’s Confectionary are still open for guests to purchase candies, cookies, and more! However, these snacks are sold pre-packaged and you cannot consume them until you are off Disney property. We’re always keeping a close eye on the display cases for any new treats, and a Sorcerer Mickey Rice Krispie Treat caught our eye on our latest visit!

We were able to admire this Rice Krispie Treat, at least with our eyes, while we were still visiting Buena Vista Street (a lovely Cast Member confirmed that taking photos of our snacks is totally fine!).

Is it just us, or are we missing Disneyland (and Fantasmic!) more and more the longer we stare at this Rice Krispie Treat?

We were so dang excited to actually EAT this l’il guy, we hopped back in our car and drove all the way home so we could find out how it tasted! True, we were fairly confident it would taste like every other Rice Krispie Treat, but we couldn’t help but wonder if it would feel different eating one in our living room.

Like other Disneyland Rice Krispie Treats we’ve enjoyed in the past, this one hits just the right amount of sweetness without being too overwhelming. It’s a classic Rice Krispie Treat with a layer of milk chocolate, topped with red and yellow sugar crystals to resemble Mickey’s sorcerer robe, along with a white chocolate sorcerer hat!

And while we will admit it was a TAD strange to be taking these taste notes from our couch, it tasted just as wonderful as it does in the parks! The Sorcerer Mickey Rice Krispie Treat is currently available at Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street for $5.99! Pick one up on your next visit and bring a little piece of Disneyland magic home with you!
