Do you ever see a treat that makes your jaw drop?
Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs is known for making gorgeous treats that are almost too pretty to eat. Now, the bakery has dropped a new WandaVision-inspired cake in celebration of the series premiere on Disney+! So, how did it TASTE?
First, let’s take a glimpse at this cutie. Behold the WandaVision Petit Cake! This large treat is styled to look just like a retro TV, playing a clip of Wanda and Vision. We opted for the 1960’s version…
…but there’s a 1950’s version too!
The dessert is made with chocolate and vanilla chiffon cakes, white chocolate and dark chocolate mousse, cookie crumbs, and chocolate pieces. Whew! That’s a lot going on!
And sure enough, cutting into it showed us a LOT of layers, which is typical or petit cakes. We’ll narrow it down and talk about the mousses first. The white chocolate mousse was light and not too sweet while the chocolate mousse was super rich and dark. Spoiler alert! The chocolate mousse was our favorite part — it added a lot of flavor!
Both the chocolate and vanilla cakes were light and airy. We noticed that the vanilla cake was less sweet than the other components of the dish which helped to balance some of that richness.
We really loved the crunchy cookie pieces and fresh chocolate chunks. As a note, this treat is big (like many of Amorette’s petit cakes) and could likely satisfy two people.
Overall, there were a lot of sweet components but we didn’t find ourselves being overloaded with sugar. It’s a really light and decadent cake with vanilla and chocolate working well together. What more can we ask for?
Our only complaint was the fondant. It’s mostly needed to keep the cake looking like a little TV but it’s not great from a taste or texture perspective. We get it though — sometimes it is all about the presentation!
This treat is definitely Instagrammable and great for any big Marvel fans looking to share a sweet with a friend. Plus, it’s pretty good! You may want to skip it if you’re looking for a cheap or small dessert. That $20 price tag is no joke! This price range is pretty standard for Amorette’s petit cakes, but it’s still a bit of a sticker shock every time!
You can find this very cute and very large treat at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs for $20. As always, keep an eye on DFB for all the latest news and reviews from Disney World!
