There’s been a lot of hustle and bustle in Disney World for the holidays this week!
As guests visit Disney World to ring in the New Year, construction projects are still underway and we’ve been keeping up with their progress. Not a whole lot has changed over the past week, but here’s a glimpse at what we’ve seen!
Magic Kingdom
Main Street Train Station
The Magic Kingdom entrance is still covered in that totally inconspicuous () scrim we saw last week.
We’re not sure how long this will remain in place but we’ll be sure to spot any changes during our upcoming visits to Magic Kingdom!
See photos of the scrim from BEFORE its makeover!
TRON Lightcycle Run
We stopped by to check out the consistently impressive-looking construction at the upcoming TRON coaster.
We didn’t notice any significant differences in comparison to our last visit! This attraction is slated to open in 2021, so we’re looking forward to it sometime this year!
Work is still underway at this site and we’re eager to continue checking up on it.
Check out more photos of the TRON coaster’s canopy here!
Rivers of America
The riverbeds surrounding Tom Sawyer Island are still dried up as refurbishments continue!
Both Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat are scheduled to undergo refurbishments through February 28th!

EPCOT
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
The upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy attraction saw the addition of these metal fixtures this week.
Small touches have gradually been added to the exterior of this attraction, like the wooden panels added to the roof last week.

Space 220
The walls that were once in place around Space 220 have come down!
We’re thinking that this covered box will be the future home for the sign for Space 220, but stay tuned.
Slowly, but surely, we’re getting closer to the opening of this galactic restaurant!
Check out what we can expect from Space 220!
Disney Springs
Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew
The exterior of Everglazed Donuts looks practically done at this point. Even a few weeks ago when we got a sneak peek inside the shop, it looked like progress was really coming along in there as well. Check out this adorable patio seating!
We’re really hoping we’ll find out the opening date of this sweet spot coming to Disney Springs SOON!
Take a look at the construction progress that’s been made at Everglazed Donuts!
Disney Resorts
Polynesian Village Resort
Refurbishments are still moving and grooving (or should we say hula-ing?) at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. Because of that, the monorail is still closed here.
BUT look at how cute this little tiki construction sign is! He even has his own hard hat!
The Polynesian Resort is still slated to reopen in the summer of 2021.
Check out this first look at what we can expect from a refurbished Polynesian Resort!
While this week wasn’t the most exciting for Disney construction, we’re still super excited to share the updates with you and look ahead at what’s to come! We’ll be back next week with more construction updates so be sure to check back with us.
Last week was BIG for construction projects at Disney World — check it out here!
