Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
And, we’ve got plenty of updates to share with you. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update
Discovery Trading Company
Once Annual Passholders walk into the Discovery Trading Center, they’re going to feel right at home with all the exclusive merchandise out for sale!
A table at the front of the store features Annual Passholder Hats and Pins…
…along with the GORGEOUS blue, gold, and pink Annual Passholder Ears that we just can’t get enough of in Disney World!
Guests can also find the Mickey and Minnie Valentine’s Day Dooney and Bourke Collection looking as sweet as ever for the upcoming holiday!
Speaking of sweet, we adore Russell’s commitment to the Wilderness Explorers troop throughout Up! As he works to earn all his badges with his friend Kevin by his side, you can earn your Wilderness Explorer title with the new Up MagicBand in the Discovery Trading Company!
One one side of the band, you can find all the badges that Russell has earned so far, including the Grape Soda Pin from Carl (the most special obviously). Plus, Russell and Kevin are looking like two of the best Wilderness Explorers around on the other side of the brown MagicBand.
You can pick up the Wilderness Explorers MagicBand for $29.99 before trying to earn a few badges of your own!
Take a look at all the details on the Up Wilderness Explorers MagicBand here!
Disney’s runDisney events are a blast as you get your cardio in AND get to explore the parks during the races! As you go on your next online runDisney event, you can remind yourself that “Every Mile is Magic” with the runDisney 2021 Pin…
…and the Passholder version of the runDisney Pin, each for $17.99.
But, the shopping doesn’t stop there!
Riverside Depot
In honor of the New Year, 2021 has brought a bunch of themed merchandise to stores around Disney World. As you send off your New Year’s greetings to your loved ones, you can write a heartfelt note in the new-to-us 2021 Holographic Mickey Postcard over at Riverside Depot! Mickey looks snazzy with pop of primary colors on the front…
…as you include your magical message on the back to send off to your friends and family members.
What a fun way to remember your trip!

Island Mercantile
We’ve been HUGE fans of all the Disney Dogs and Cats merchandise making its way to Disney World recently with dresses, bags, and more in the parks and online. And, Island Mercantile is showing off the paw-some Disney Dogs and Cats Lanyards too!
The Disney Dogs Lanyard has Pluto, Lady, and a Dalmatian on the front of the cardholder…
…and bones and paw prints on the opposite side.
Plus, the blue lanyard shows off even more images of our favorite Disney Dogs looking cuter than ever!
The Disney Cats Lanyard, on the other hand, puts Marie, Oliver, and Figaro front and center on the cardholder and lanyard…
…along with fish bones, yarn, and paw prints on the slip side of the cardholder.
You can pick up either lanyard for $20, but we can hardly resist grabbing both of them!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Crowd Update
It was a bit of a quieter day in Disney’s Animal Kingdom as guests made their way around the parks to the attractions and restaurants. Right as guests entered the park, the area in front of the Tree of Life seemed a little less busy…
…but there were still a few pockets of crowds in very popular spots like Creature Comforts.
Hey, the people NEED their coffee!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Entertainment Update
While we were hopping around the park, we took a moment to admire all the carvings on the gorgeous Tree of Life (all 300 animals to be exact!). Along with admiring the centerpiece of the park when you enter…
…you can also make your way over to the waterways to see the boats floating along with characters waving to guests. Animal Kingdom usually features friends like Chip and Dale in Dinosaur costumes, Mickey and Minnie Minnie is safari get-up, and more.
But, we were especially excited to greet Pocahontas and Meeko during our visit!
They’re two cuties, aren’t they?
Check out the entertainment over at EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts!
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We’ll catch you next time for more updates. And, if you have questions about your upcoming Disney trip, let us know so we can help you find the answers!
