It’s almost Super Bowl weekend!
One of Disney’s annual traditions is its Super Bowl parade down Main Street, U.S.A. But since Disney is limiting crowds due to the ongoing pandemic, we’ve been waiting to hear whether this time-honored tradition will take place this year. Now, we finally have an answer.
Disney announced today that there will not be a Super Bowl parade this year. This aligns with its suspension of other parades throughout the parks.
However, you can still celebrate the big day with Disney! The iconic “I’m Going to Disney World!” commercial will still air Sunday night, featuring the Super Bowl star player. You can watch it on major TV networks as well as social media. Of course, we still don’t know who the star of this year’s commercial will be…so be sure to watch for the reveal!
Disney hopes to bring back other Super Bowl traditions next year — including that parade! In the meantime, Disney Springs is hosting some Super Bowl celebrations this weekend: STK will have some Super Bowl specials, while House of Blues is hosting a watch “party” in the Courtyard.
