Dinosaurs and Rats are INVADING EPCOT — And We Love It!

What do dinosaurs and rats have in common? They’re both INVADING EPCOT!

EPCOT

Don’t worry, that’s a good thing! With preparations underway for EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival and the opening of the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction, we’re seeing some changes in EPCOT. Here’s everything new in food, construction, and merchandise!

We visited EPCOT yesterday to check out the latest updates and noticed that the park was pretty darn empty. Those are some light World Showcase crowds!

EPCOT Food Updates

Cool Wash

On the food front, we noticed that Cool Wash near Test Track was not open. We’ve seen this spot open a few times but it’s typically on weekends. Guess we’ll only be snagging some cool coke slushes on Saturdays and Sundays!

EPCOT Construction Updates

Entrance Area

You might have heard that the Leave a Legacy display has returned to EPCOT and more panels had been added when we visited yesterday. This certainly adds a colorful new aesthetic to EPCOT’s front entrance!

Leave a Legacy

These displays feature Disney guests of years past who “left their legacy” in photo form. You can even find *NSYNC on the panels!

EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival

Sure, we’re still enjoying the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, but the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival kicks off on March 3rd. That’s so soon! In preparation, we spotted a new garden in Future World today.

Prehistoric Garden

The Prehistoric Garden is new this year and is located just outside of the temporary home of Mouse Gear. It features plants that have been around since the time of the dinosaurs!

Speaking of Flower and Garden, the iconic flower beds that line the lake in Future World West Side were almost completely installed!

EPCOT Merchandise Updates

Souvenirs de France

When it comes to merch, we noticed that the Talking Remy Plush had been restocked at Souvenirs de France.

This little cutie speaks both English and French! What a cute bilingual buddy!

The Fjording

Finally, we noticed that The Fjording store in the Norway Pavilion has been slightly rearranged. Now, all of the Disney Norway merch is in the same room as the Frozen merchandise and the coats and perfume are in the other room together.

The Fjording

That’s all the updates we have from EPCOT today! We’re honestly okay with the new dinosaur and rat denizens in this park. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest news from Disney World!
